Jimbo76
I have a lightly used Steelmaster that sits in the safe. I shoot open and wonder whether it would be cheaper to have a trubor upper made for it than to take a loss selling it and pay the high price of a new Trubor. Any ideas of what it would cost and who could do it? It is in hard chrome if that matters. Slide could be blue, don't care abot that. Thanks! Hi-Power Jack
I may be wrong, but I thought you could just re-spring the Steelmaster and voila, you have a TruBor? The Steelmaster has a light spring for light loads - installing a 9/10 lb spring should work to shoot Major loads ... I think ???
Banacek
Steel master has the two port compensator vs. the 3 port trubor and will have more lift but I use it with 9mmM (major) with a heavier spring and I like it. Great backup gun. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
jcc7x7
shoot a tru bor with a 2 port comp for a whole season. Worked fine, swapped it with a forum member he shoot it at nationals last year and came in the top 30-35 place so the gun will defiantly do the job properly sprung
BeerBaron
The steel master also has a shorter barrel/slide. If you want a trubor you can certainly get a trubor barrel and slide fitted. But I'd say you may be better off selling the sm and buying a trubor if that's what you want.
