Open Shotgun...how many mags?

Trying to determine how many magazines I need to run my MKA in a match.  I know that the answer is "it depends" and the match and the stages dictate what's ideal.  

But i just need to get an idea.  I have the two 5rd mags that it came with and am planning picking up a T&N 18rd and at least one 10rd.  Debating on if I can get by and shoot a match with the above, or if the second 10 would be a good idea, or if even more is recommended.

I know they make larger cap mags, but I think the 18rd is the length that I think is workable for me.

RM3G has 40+ round all birdshot stages, and likes to do mixed slug/birdshot.  I have 4 10-round, 2 TacCom extension 17's, and two 5-round.

I rarely use anything less than my 24,

I have, one - 28, two - 24's , two - 12's, one - 5

I have one - 24, one - 18, four -15 and several 10 rd and 5 rd magazines thrown in the bag.

I also have a precision cut piece of wood () and some duct tape to couple a 5 rd magazine to one of the others for a slug + bird shot stage.

What's your feelings on the 24 vs the 18?  I know the right answer is "both" but that might not be workable right now (damn things are expensive, if I could only trade cordless drills for mags).  I went through old stage videos of mine, and thought through the process and 18rd is right on the edge of working without a reload for most stages where I shoot.

I have all 3. 23, 18, 15, plus a couple of 10's and 5's. Really depends on stage. I don't mix slugs unless they are first. Use my 23 most and carry the rest.  Kind of limited by room on belt only carry so many so big mags take less room.
