S&W686
Yesterday I purchase a Ruger Precision rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. I want to make sure I do not ruin my barrel. Could someone please guide in the proper size cleaning kit I will need for this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Thank you
dddoo7
I like Dewey coated rods and brushes dewey bronze brushes and a brass eye for patches. I would order a bore guide. Mike Lucas makes really good ones. Some kind of copper solvent, a good oil, high quality grease. A bore snake is handy for cleaning carbon out of the barrel. Kmarsh1966
Is a stainless rod with brass rod guide a problem? I'm new to the 6.5 also, wanted to sight it in today, but too much rain in Texas

427Cobra
Get a 44 inch 22 cal rod, a bore guide, 22 Parker Hale jag, use 30 cal patches, I like BoreTech Eliminator
dddoo7
Bore tech is good. You want a coated rod as opposed to a stainless one. You want a rod that is just a few inches longer than you really need. I have a couple of 44" rods and they are difficult to deal with when you don't need them.
