onebadeye
What are most shooters using for target loads, don't want use my clays trying to save it for pistol shooting.
Intel6
Don't know about 20 ga. but I like WST for most of my 12 ga. loads. Works great, clean and I can use it for many of my handgun loads also so I can stock up and not worry about not being able to use it up.
practical_man
For Target loads in 12 gauge: Red Dot, WSF, WST, Clays, E3, not necessarily in that order. Titewad is also great for light loads For field loads in 12 gauge I really like Longshot, despite it's very LOUD report. Longshot also makes a great high velocity trap load. For 20 gauge, Hodgdon International, Hodgdon Universal, and Alliant 20/28 (when you can find it). ETA: Titegroup, because I don't have any right now but it's a great powder for light 12 gauge loads, especially with the 3/4 ounce claybuster wad. bwikel
700x works well for 1oz. light trap loads and it can double as a pistol powder when powder is scarce.
JD45
Red dot, WST, Titewad, and many others are great. Keep it under 1200fps. That's all you need.
JD45
That's for 12ga only!
mikeyjones
700x works well for 1oz. light trap loads and it can double as a pistol powder when powder is scarce. I keep a stock of 700x for my pistol loads. I run it in 9, 38, 40, 45. It started when I stopped reloading shotshell and had leftover powder. Found some loads that worked for those calibers and worked them them up.
trodrig
For 12 gauge target loads I love Extra lite with 7/8oz and the gray clay buster wads! Red dot is good too as is clays!
