RaylanGivens
I'm getting ready to ream the throat of my STI Edge's barrel for some longer rounds... Wondering if there is a bench block that would hold the tapered barrel of the STI Edge better... Seems like the STI Edge is popular enough that someone should have a good bench block that would hold the barrel more securely for the throating operation... MrPostman
If i cut a chamber or throat a barrel I usually use my lathe, but I have done a few using a vise and some poly/nylon jaw pads that have a rounded cutout to hold the barrel. I bought the poly/nylon pads on ebay. Here is a link to the ones i have. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Padded-Magnetic-Soft-TPU-Vise-Jaw-4-Pad-Attachment-V-Pipe-Groove-Gunsmith-/231237482549?nav=SEARCH Edited June 23, 2016 by MrPostman
practical_man
I used a vise and hardwood blocks. Wrapped the barrel in paper with a little rosin to help it hold tight.
