FWSixgunner
I just shot my first IDPA BUG classifier with my 3" 64-5 and was very disappointed with my performance. A BIG part of the problem is the fat-assed factory ramp that lalmost completely fills the notch. It's near impossible to call my shots with almost no daylight around the front. So I need an FO post front of no more than 1/10" width that my old eyes can pick up faster. Problem is, the factory front is integral to the rib, thus will definitely need some milling by a gunsmith to install a new one. I took it to an LGS that advertises dovetailing, but they gave me a BS story about how they'd have to grind the rib completely off, blah, blah, blah. Apparently they just didn't want to do it for their advertised price.
Toolguy
A dovetail sight could easily be fitted by only cutting a dovetail in the rib.
