Like I said, I don't really care what a MD wants to put in a match. At the end of the day I'll have fun regardless of what the shooting challenge is.

Just to recap this thread though:

-One guy says simulated land mines are practical.

-Others say that nothing in this game is practical anymore.

-"Land mines are practical" guy agrees that nothing is practical anymore, yet still argues that simulated land mines are practical.

-Another guy argues that shooting scenarios in real life are unpractical which makes our game inherently unpractical.

:roflol::roflol::roflol:

I say bring on all unpractical and practical shooting challenges...

For anyone who doesn't think that a stage is "practical" or within the confines of what they want to see in a stage (particularly those who didn't make any effort to design stages or work matches), I have a very simple solution. Don't shoot the stage. If you really believe in what you are saying, you can decide to simply not compete on that particular stage - take your zero points - and move along to the next stage of the match. No harm, no foul.

Either stand up for what you believe or simply shoot the stage, be safe, have fun, and be appreciative of those people who worked hard to put together thought provoking and challenging shooting scenarios for your enjoyment.

...back to our regularly scheduled programming...

How about you have to solve a puzzle before you draw and engage a target with one shot, sounds like an awesome stage.

I ran a stage at one of my club matches that was just 1 popper, I get requests to do that again than any other stage I have run (the One popper was at 80 yards I think that kept it interesting)

I do not like land mines at all,

I do not like them big or small.

I do not like them on the ground,

I do not like them square or round.

I'm too old and fat to run,

Athletic feats are not much fun.

It's too hot out in the sun,

I just want to shoot my gun.

Don't make me squat or lie on the grass,

It hurts when I land on all that brass.

I don't need your complaining or your sass,

If you don't agree, you can.....squad with someone else.

A single popper at 80 yards? That's not practical at all!

Now, a single popper at 80 yards with the calibration area covered in Tannerite, that's practical!

(Sorry, I think I'm channeling Top Shot...)

It does when I read it in MY head. :)
