Balliet
Has anyone ever had a problem with their support hand pushing up the slide lock during the course of fire?
diddomatic
Readjust your grip an burn it in with dry fire. Take a solid week of making sure you get the correct grip.
alucardus
If you're having this problem it has to be bad grip technique, your hand size isn't the problem. If you feel like your grip is slipping and pushing into it try some progrip.
SlvrDragon50
I don't think I could push up the slide lock with my support hand even if I wanted to. I'm with the above posters, I think grip technique is the issue.
fastluck13
I wouldn't say it is or isn't bad grip without seeing it in person. A lot depends on the size and placement of the slide stop, safety, mag release, etc on if you are going to have a problem. I can't use extended slide stops or I will keep it from engaging when it should. A friend has a problem with extended mag releases. Take the time to figure out where your hand is hitting and why. It could be grip, it could be the gun, it could be the specific part.
Balliet
I was rolling my thumb section of palm into the slide lock. Glock habits, I guess. All sorted out now. Thanks everyone for your guidance. --Balliet

nadurra
I had some issues with engaging the slide release on my Glock 35 w/ extended release. Swapped it into a standard one and haven't had any problems since.
CGoodwin
I have some pretty beefy hands... However, my grip includes setting the support thumb below the strong thumb such that the base of my support thumb slots right into the hollow between the thenar and the hypothenar eminences. Definitely keeps the support hand clear of any controls on Sigs, CZ's, or M&Ps!
