Steve RA
I'd think how sad it would be is very dependent on the reason why it is/was done. If you have some incurable disease, bedridden and in excruciating pain it might be a reasonable response. Or the young lady a few years ago who had something incurable growing in her brain - although she did it medically.
Hi-Power Jack
Politically incorrect, Steve, but have to say - "I agree with you".

gm iprod
For some / many life is difficult. Sometimes more difficult than they can manage. I have lost a few friends to disease lately and it was unpleasant for all, let alone the sufferer. RIP

ima45dv8
We have enough of a job to stay one step ahead of our own demons. It's always sad to hear of someone who stumbled and was caught by theirs.

RIP Keith. elp was one of the reason i started playing the drums nearly 4 decades ago. i remember seeing him rocking his B3 like it was a feather. great song writer, a hell of a keyboard player. godspeed Keith emerson......been a rough year, Greg Lake died couple days ago, only Carl Palmer left of this amazing prog rock band of the 70's.
