I should have already visualized the stage multiple times. At make ready, I

Draw the gun,

see a good sight picture on a target,

drop the hammer with a good trigger pull

load chamber from my last magazine pouch,

load full magazine from back pocket,

reholster,

assume the position and,

mentaly remind myself to:

Aim hard

Grip the gun

Have fun

I shoot steel almost exclusively.

After previous shooter finishes, I try to be at the line. I get my footing, visually acquire each plate in shooting order, moving my torso as appropriate. I usually do this one to three times. Then I close my eyes and try to completely relax while I assume surrender position.

At make ready, I draw at match speed and take a sight picture on all targets. If anything feels off I adjust and do it again. I load from first magazine, chamber check, holster and relax with left arm up and right arm on gun until I am 100% relaxed. Then my right arm goes up and I get the make ready.

After each string I pop my mag out to check remaining rounds. Pop mag back in or swap out. Chamber check. Holster, and repeat my left arm up right arm on gun relaxation.

I shoot limited with a production gun because I like to load all my magazines before the match starts.
