2016 Samson Pro/ DoubleStar 3 Man 3 Gun

Recommended Posts

Back by popular demand! Registration won't be available until after SHOT show, but we wanted to get the date out now.

Thanks to all of our friends that are sponsoring the match. Lincoln Arms will be providing T-shirts at no cost for all shooters again this year. They will also have additional t-shirts available for $15 each with $5 of each shirt going to Mission 22. http://www.mission22.com/ We also welcome MOD 1 and Rose Action Sports this year as sponsors- more great local Kentucky companies who give back to our sport by shooting and working matches.

For those that shot this match last year- expect the return of golf carts and Rolling Thunder.

Ladies and Gentlemen, registration will open for the Rockcastle 3 Man 3 Gun presented by Samson Pro and DoubleStar on February 4, at 6:00 pm Eastern Time at the following link:

After registering, you’ll receive an email acknowledging the receipt of registration. Next, you will receive an email notifying you it has been “approved”. This comes after we confirm openings in the match. Only after receiving the “approval” email, please contact Rockcastle at 270-749-4101 to pay by credit card, or mail a check made payable to: Rockcastle Shooting Center with a printed copy of the email noting your registration is approved. (Payment details are included in the “approval” email.)

T-Shirts are again going to be provided AT NO ADDITIONAL COST by Lincoln Arms as long as payment is received before 5/15/16. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15/each by contacting Lincoln Arms direct at sales@lincolnarms.com. They are donating $5 of each t-shirt sold to Mission 22. www.mission22.com Be sure to tell Michael at Lincoln Arms thank you for supporting the match is such a big way.

Format will be the same as last year, each squad will shoot their morning zone, break for lunch (provided by The Lookout), then shoot their afternoon zone. Awards will be immediately following last rounds fired. Dinner will be available at the Lodge also, but is not included in your entry fee. Typically during the summer months, Rockcastle has a band playing on Saturday nights, so entertainment should also be on site.

You are going down Bryan!! Us Michigan boys are coming full force this year, well with as much force as we can without breaking Johnny's leg... You should tell him there is a slide that the entire team needs to go down, he will love it!!!

"Approvals" went out this afternoon with payment instruction. If there are any questions, feel free to email either Vaught or myself.

We are full. But, I expect between now and June 11 there will be some drop-outs. If you're still interested in shooting, hit the registration to get an early spot in line.

They best way to get an idea of stages is to check out the videos participants have posted on you tube. Some will be very similar. We really don't want/plan to put our stage diagrams out before the match.

I believe last year we suggested about 75 bird, rifle, pistol per shooter. And 5 slugs. Depending on how/who shoots different parts of some stages, one shooter may shoot more of one gun and less of another. If we incorporate any more or less slugs, or any buck, we will put that out in plenary of time prior to match date.

Party after! Likely before too.

Rockcastle generally has a band every Saturday night during the Summer. I'm going to try to get them to schedule Metallica or 5 Finger Death Punch. But more likely it will be 3-4 guys from Edmonson Co that play for beer money.
