jdphotoguy
Several of us are looking to get an Irish Plate Rack (click on pic, lower right) and I wondered if any other clubs/individuals were using one and what they thought of it from a maintenance and competitors like/dislike of it. . AFguywhoshoots
I have shot one at a local club 3 gun shoot. There is an added bit of a challenge, but no more than a polish or double Texas star.

alma
Please contact Farly Collins at North Salt Lake Welding and Fabrication. Several places make these now but Farly is the originator of both the Polish and Irish plate racks and he could answer any questions that you might have about them. He is also an outstanding guy and a huge supporter of local and regional USPSA competition. http://nslwelding.com
jdphotoguy
Thanks alma, that is who we would be ordering one from. I've not personally talked to him, but another guy in our group has and he's been impressed with them.
RevoWood123
I've seen a couple videos of these things and they look like fun. We have been using Stars and Polish Plate Racks for a little bit, and people have liked the challenge of shooting them, especially with revolver, but the resetting can eat up some time. The balance from the start seems to be the issue when resetting comes about. I typically use a large sharpie and write which plate belongs where while it is balanced to help reset move a little faster. I'll throw in a link to one of the stages I designed for one of our ICORE matches. The idea was that you engaged all blue plates before engaging any orange plates.
