load data for 9mm trubor

Picked up a trubor from a member here and will be needing some data.

It seems autocomp is a popular choice for 9 major. Anyone have data for this gun and a 124gr jacketed bullet?

Also, for bullets, I'm trying to decide,

precision delta

Montana gold

Bayou

Everglades fmj

What do yall like that is accurate yet cost effective?

Not zero since they are a pain to get from what I can see.

What powder if not autocomp is recommended? Shilouette? Blue dot? Hs-6? What burns cleanest and doesn't over fill the case?

Please include oal, crimp, and charge rate.

I'm currently loading a 124 gr. Precision Delta JHP under 8.1 gr. of HS-6 at 1.16" OAL. I get 172 PF. I've used Silhouette also, but HS-6 is currently available at Powder Valley. I may try Auto Comp too.

In your original post, you asked for OAL and crimp ...

I load these to 1.165" OAL , but I've loaded them

down as low as 1.145" and they still are good to go,

and the crimp is the standard

crimp for all 9mm's (minor and major) in all of my guns

- just remove the belling you made to seat the bullets.

IMHO, this is The Safest (recognizing that there is no

such thing as a Safe 9mm major load) there is - lots

of room in the case for the powder.

Hi-Power jack, have you tried the 121's with the same load as above? Am sure you have to add a little powder.

thanks

I've never tried the 121's, but they sound like a great alternative.

A compromise between 115's and 124's.

Doubt you'd have to put much more powder in there, but I'd

check it with a chrono.

But, I'm going back to the 115's when I finish up my 124 supply -

not sure I currently see the advantage to going to 121 - might

change my mind next year, though.

124g extreme RN bullet

8.3 of 3n38

1.185 OAL

This makes 173 pf in mine.

this almost fills the case, is definitely compressed, and in general is a pain in the ass, but I have a decent amount of it on hand.

Can you tell me why the switch back to 115?

Also is there any benefit to rn or hp? Other than feed reliability? Which do you prefer?

I dont like compressed loads so I'll be skipping the 38

I had some 115's left over that I recently shot, and seems like

better control (less muzzle rise) than the 124's.

If you have a comp, it's lot easier to shoot a bullet that has

NO exposed lead (on the base) - that lead will eventually

clog up your compensator - lots of work to remove.

Lot easier to use JHP's for CMP's ....

I initially ran 121's but went to 115's. I used 7.2-7.3 WAC @1.168 for 173 PF.

I'm back down to 1.150 - the longer I went the worse the accuracy got for me (out to about 1.170 max).

I'm guessing it's probably due to the neck tension with the shorter 115s - not much bullet in the case at 1.170

My load for my Trubor was (sold it) 124gr Montana Gold, 8.1gr HS-6, 1.160. At nationals the power factor was 173. My own chronograph results was giving me about 175pf. That load is soft shooting and accurate.
