Open1215
Hello. I would like to install some fiber optic sights on a RIA single stack 1911. I can post pics later of the dove tail but I'm looking for a decent set for under 100$ if possible. Something non adjustable preferred. This is for my wife's gun. She doesn't get to shoot often and she does have bad eyes. I would like to have a contrast in color. It's a nice gun. Very smooth and shoots great. Thanks for the heads! Quack
RIA has an odd front sight cut, Dawson makes a sight specifically for the RIA

Build4u
I have installed four sets of the Dawson perfect impact sights. You install the recommended set and if the point of impact is off they send the correct height front sight no charge and right away. Very good quality. shotgunone
Dawson. That's all I use on any gun I replace the sights on, and that's been a few. Really like their Fiber Optic front sights. Edited May 5, 2015 by shotgunone
pjb45
Brazos. I have a Dawson, Brazos, and SV. Of course I prefer the SV but it requires some extra work. The Brazos allows me to adjust how much or how little brightness I need. If I am shooting a hoser type matdh I like a lot of brightness, if it is more precision oriented I tend to pull the fiber back so I get a better focus on the sight edges. All are great and you can not go wrong with any of them.
GunBugBit
Brazos, huh. Hadn't considered them for front sights. Have been very happy with two hammer-sear sets of theirs.
Aric
I like the Brazos lightning rod. The fiber is always the same size and intensity regardless of orientation to the sun.

mikedio
Dawson has an amazing selection of sight heights and widths to dial your point of impact right in.
