kuduman
OK, so I've searched and searched. Some posts say the default 9mm TS recoil spring is 11 lbs. Some say 13. And some say 14. Can I get a definitive answer from some kind and wise CZ expert? Thanks.
asimonp79
CZ TS 9x19 comes with 14.6 pounds Measured by " spring measurement tool" in my lab. I may find the picture of measurement.
bigdave24
I believe it's listed as a 14 lb spring. The 11 and 13 lb springs I've purchased are definitely lighter.
IronicTwitch
I wasn't expecting any replies since you asked for the "kind and wise" CZ experts!
kuduman
I figured somebody'd want to show off what they know... So is it reasonable to run the 11 lb., using 130 PF loads? Or is that asking for accelerated parts breakage? My loads are like 128. Just trying to tweak this thing for maximum speed.
IronicTwitch
I'm running 130PF loads on a factory stock spring. I can't get below 0.15 splits consistently unless it's on an up close hoser (in which case I've been told it sounds like I've got full auto...sweet trigger on this thing!), so I'm not sure how much faster you're trying to go! bigdave24
I preferred the 11 lb spring, but sometimes the slide wouldn't go into battery. So I ended up using a 13 lb spring.
Jeff Matzka
Been running a 10 lb. Wolff spring in my Shadow since 2010, 128-130 PF. Runs nice. Early on I had a couple of failures to go fully into battry, but discovered my lead rounds were loaded a tad too long. Easily fixed and no probs since. kuduman
One more question: Is there a 12 lb. spring? I see 10, 11, 13, 14...
himurax13
One more question: Is there a 12 lb. spring? I see 10, 11, 13, 14... I run a 12 lb Browning High power progressive recoil springs in my SP01's and Shadows. Stuart told me that I can use regular CZ75 Recoil springs on my CTS slide.
