matts2k
Does anyone make a 2011-style grip with no grip safety? Seems like guns and grips with no grip safety would be cheaper to produce, and have fewer moving parts. Also seems like a number of people who compete deactivate their grip safeties, so there may be a market for it.
shotgunone
Glock ....... M&P ......... Sorry I couldn't resist. It wouldn't be a 1911 / 2011 without the grip safety. Besides the grip safety adds 1 part - the grip safety held in by the thumb safety. Edited November 23, 2014 by shotgunone

1time
I would like one with no thumb safety for 3gun.
Iceman2733
Wouldnt save any money and would most likely be more money to produce. You need the opening from the grip safety to install the trigger bow itself and sear and disco. Also how would you install the sear spring if you had solid grip saftety. Not much difference with just deactivating and pinning thr safety Edited November 23, 2014 by Iceman2733
troupe
Novak was doing a beavertail mainspring housing one piece deal, it was proprietary for Novak. Bruce Gray was doing a similar set up. Both were very expensive.
APL-G35
Bruce's is beautiful and actually solves a problem. Some people have trouble activating the grip safety with an extremely high grip. Bruces allows that grip and still a functional grip safety.
xrayfk05
You can get SVI steel grip guns without the grip safety, bit above budget maybe Just pin it or live with it I don't really see the issue. Dranoel
I think the simplest solution would be to just cut the bar off the grip safety.

72stick
My SVI grip safety doesn't have a bump and it's pinned. It's the most comfortable gun I've ever shot, and very accurate! Edited November 26, 2014 by 72stick

Ming the Merciless
Does Morris code differ from Morse code ??? Yes, Morris code is the secret combination of curse words and choke/throttle positions needed to get a MM Series II started on a cold damp morning. Morse code is used by telegraphers.
