300 BLK Suppressed Build need handgaurd advice

OK Gang I am building a 300 BLK upper in a Suppressed 8" build. I want the handgaurd to come down and cover the first few inches of the can thus it needs to be longer than 9 inches and have an inner diameter bigger than the outer diameter of the can which is 1.625

I have been looking at the Rock River parts and some of them I like the look of but they do not lock in place securely enough for my tastes. I do love the POF stuff but they don't sell just that part and I am not sure of the ID.

So here is the question.

What handgaurd locks in place with the Upper and has a Inner diameter of 1. 750 inches? OAL of the handgaurd also has to be longer than 9 inches. . .

Fortis makes large light hand guards but as hot as a silencer gets I'd be cautious about having it under a handguard

I get the temp issue but that is not a concern in this build.

I have not but a friend has. It's real solid. If I hadnt already bought the Samson Evo, the MCSR is what I would go with.

I think the Samson Evo rails may be big enough.

I have several of Seekins SPR3's and they mount up real solid.

Rainier arms Force handguards have inside big enough for your purposes. I've had mine since they came out and really like it. Very solid yet light.

There's the aero COP M4 mono upper. I'm putting the carbine length one on order for my 8.5" blk build soon. Can't find the ID on it at the moment.

Is the link to the 15 inch version. Yes it reports a 1.5 inch suppressor will fit nicely. and an ID of 1.8 inches. The biggest drawback is that it appears to require their upper. . .

Direct quote from above link "This handguard does not come with a barrel nut to attach it to a standard upper. They will bolt directly to our M4E1 upper receiver."

Perhaps there are others that don't require the dedicated hand guard.

You are correct your pistol looks awesome! And the price is just a little more than the parts required combined.

So can you do me one more favor? Can you measure the narrowest Inner diameter of yours at the barrel end?

Unfortunately, that's not mine, just an image search from google. In the next few weeks I'll be ordering the upper kit. So I don't have anything to measure for you at the moment

Yep. I have the 13" BAR and there should be plenty of room inside for a can. Take some pics when you have it all mounted. It's a 10 minute job!

you doin a little SBR for the house? me too! picked up an 8.5" but I don't have a can, so running a short Samson rail till then. they say it doesn't come with a barrel nut since it uses the regular barrel nut

I have my 11.5 in 5.56 setup like this with a Seekins BAR. I still love the setup but sometimes I wish I hadn't forced myself to always run a can. I've run it pretty hard doing mag dumps, even ran it in a 3 Gun match. No temperature issues or anything else worth mentioning. It is just a solid all around home defense setup.

I'm currently working on a 10" blackout with a flush mount can. The barrel had to be cut just right to fit it all together. We actually wound up destroying the MI handguard seen in this photo. It has since been replaced with a BCM Keymod, I don't have pics yet.
