2014 Louisiana Gator Classic Sectional

Recommended Posts

I decided to start another thread since the other one says applications. I came up with the following breakdown of Divisions and Classes from the squadding page off of Practiscore, but also know some of the match staff isnt listed, but this is the breakdown. Match start date is 2 weeks from today. Im sure Steph will have the correct numbers at some time but she is a busy woman right now, just had some time and know some of you are interested in this.

Oooo I'm seeing a 318 round count, and one stage is a classifier? I've never seen that at a major, but I'm still pretty new.

I think I counted 326 rounds plus a few for the Chrono. I was told to expect 500 rounds and to bring no less than 600 but these are from guys who've seen me shoot :)

I noticed the website says 320. But there's plenty of steel at this match so I'll probably use closer to 400

That's pushing it. Extra shots on steel plus taking into account a possible reshoot or two would make me want to take a bare minimum of 500.

I didn't say that's how much I'm bringing, that's just about what I expect to shoot.

On another note, is it a hard and fast rule that there must be 3 GM's in a class for it to count as a classifier (assuming they shoot to their potential and it meets other criteria).

This will be my third major in 3 months that won't have counted if so (I'm shooting Limited). C'mon GM's, I need these matches to count haha!

What a great match. The weather was perfect, the stages were "interesting" and the staff was excellent. A big thank you for all of you guys that worked the match, as usual it was a hoot. the only thing I missed from previous matches was the gators on the no-shoots. Again, thanks to all.

As always, Gator Classic is a fantastic match put on by a group of individuals of which you're hard pressed to find equals. Thanks to everyone who worked their asses off and to all of the wonderful competitors.

Sadly, I didn't have nearly the performance I'd have liked but sometimes life happens and, well, when you've only shot two matches since the last Gator classic, you get a bit rusty. :)

To all the competitors who came by stage 9, I hope you had a great time on my stage and, as always, if anyone has any comments, complaints or suggestions for how my crew and I do things, please do not hesitate to address them to me. I always strive to be consistent and efficient but, most of all, to have a great time. Obviously issues arise that are outside of my control but I try to do the best to keep things running smoothly.
