bockerSV
I tried the search and was kind of surprised I couldn't find anything on this topic, but anyway, doesn't anybody know of somewhere that has full size M&P back straps in stock? Even the stock one on my pro series seems too slick so I want to get a few standard full size back straps and stipple them myself a little more aggressively. matt7184
Try SpeedShooters and Midway, but they may be out of stock at the moment. You should be able to call S&W and order more as well.
bockerSV
Okay thanks, I've sent an email to Smith, just waiting for a reply but I've heard some rumor about smith not selling replacement back straps but I guess I'll know for sure when they get back to me in a few days. Domineaux
Have you seen the Hogue Handall Hybrid for M&P? Locks into the palm-swell slot and provides excellent grip.
bockerSV
I've seen them before, the ergonomics of the M&P fit my hand pretty much perfectly so I'm not interested in adding any extra bulk or finger grooves or anything of that sort, I already use grip tape for the front and sides but it won't stick to the back strap due to the factory stippling on the pro series. Hopefully S&W comes through and I'll be able to buy direct.
Domineaux
Understood. I loved the feel of my M&P Pro but gave it a try for better grip and found it even better.
Avedis
If you're looking for more grip, get the standard backstrap and throw a Talon granulate grip over it.
Nick S
What size are you looking for? I have a few laying around.
bockerSV
I usually use the medium ones.
gransport
I've had good luck ordering from Brownel's in the past. Got a few and practiced stippling, 2nd try turned out good, 3rd try turned out great.
Studlee
Last ones I bought were from Make Ready Pro shop cuz they had them in stock. These are stippled. http://www.makereadyproshop.com/accurate-iron-stippled-m-p-backstrap-full-size-9-40/
killab
I've ordered a backstrap from Chris. He did an excellent job, good price, quick turnaround and offers different styles. http://www.damatocustomstippling.com/
bockerSV
It turns out smith does still ship spares so I have a few on there way to me right now. I do some stippling work myself so I'll just whip up a few different textures when they come in and see what feels best on the backstrap.
