elynch2007
Does the Taran Tactical lifter work in the Versa Max? or do they make two different lifters? I am asking because if I remove my lifter and pay shipping both ways to C-Rums, the cost is getting close to the Taran Tactical lifter any way. RescueYou
It will work on the 3" model, NOT the 3.5" Versa Max or Benelli.
JRicks
It will work on the 3" model, NOT the 3.5" Versa Max or Benelli. What is this 3" model?
Longshot83
It fits but it is shorter than the factory lifter. I would recommend sending yours to c-rums.
striped1
The Versamax is a 3.5" receiver. All of them are all built on the same receiver.
zmanktm
The new Versa Max 3 gun competition model is not chambered for 3 1/2 only for 3 inch.
GunCat
The new Versa Max 3 gun competition model is not chambered for 3 1/2 only for 3 inch. Pretty sure the receiver and other action parts are the same on all the Versa Max models. Remington was concerned about folks stuffing too many heavier 3.5” shells into the extended mag tube and the added strain on the springs, shell latch, etc. so they do not advertise it as 3.5” Edit - I will put a chamber gauge in the first 3" marked gun I get my hands on to check the chamber length Edited May 29, 2014 by GunCat
TaranTactical
It's a bit short for the Versamax, TBH.
Hammerhead
GunCat is correct. All VERSA's have 3.5" chambers. Barrel is only marked 3" due to the potential for 3.5" shells buckling in the mag tube under heavy recoil from those types of loads.
