Detroit Sportsmen's Congress - 2014 Matches - Utica MI

Recommended Posts

The outdoor season preparations are well under way. The club is getting the berms dressed as the spring rains have washed the sand onto the range floor. They will be ready for our first outdoor match. As per last year our monthly matches are scheduled for the third Sunday of the month. For the May 18th match, we will have four or possibly five classifier stages along with two field courses and a speed shoot. Round count will be lower than our normal matches due to the classifiers. This match will be 138 - 150 rounds.

The classifiers will be:

CM 06-03 - Can You Count

CM 99-28 - Hillbillton Drill

CM 99-34 - Ported View

CM 99-11 - El Presidente

and possibly

CM 99-22 - Nuevo El Presidente

Additional information about the club can be found on the website (<-- click) and specifically about USPSA matches (<-- click).

See you on the range!

May Stage Designs

The decision was reached to have 5 classifier stages for the May match so the round count will be 150. In addition to the classifier stages listed above, the following will also be included. Thanks to Mr. Panzl for letting me hijack one of his stages! Greg designed "Several Solutions".

Stage 1 - Double Vision-Publish.pdf

Stage 3 - Wagon Ambush.pdf

Stage 4 - Several Solutions-Publish.pdf

The mud was a bit deep on a couple of the stages but the match went off as planned. The "stand 'n blast" stages required little movement other than to turn uprange in the box so it was not all that bad. We tried to put down some dried vegetation to keep everyone safe. Don't need any twisted ankles or broken shin bones.

Thanks to everyone that helped RO the match and all the participants that helped tear down their stage. MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Said vegetation was applied after the super squad broke all of there ankles in the mud. While the previous squad stood by idle watching us breaking our ankles. Shits wack yo.
