Guest
With 124s and HS-6 here is what I use: Either MG 124gr JHP @ 1.235" OAL or MG124gr FMJ @ 1.250 with HS-6 @ 9.0 gr Win SRP Gives me about 1355fps for a 168 power factor Your MG CMJs would be = to the MG FMJs >>>>>>> As always, work your load up with a chrono and don't trust what you get from some yahoo off the interwebs. In my experience HS-6 works OK for .38 super/.38 Supercomp but it is not the ideal powder. I think it is blasty and the dot doesn't track as predictably as with some of the other .38 super friendly powders. I've found that it does work very well in the super for the middling-minor loads in the 140-150 pf range and have used it for steel in my open guns with a pound or two lighter recoil spring with very good results. Having said that, it will make major safely and it is an easy powder to load so just take the above opinion with a grain of salt and use what you got.
