Recon'sHide
Interested in the vast knowledge base here regarding what folks are currently using and what works well for them, specifically optics for an sbr. The aimpoint micro comes to mind. Semper fi,
steviesterno
I've run both a Vortex strike fire and an Aimpoint on mine with really good results. Depends what you want to do with it, but I've seen people getting good groups (obviously with some drop) at 200 yards, so a 1-4 can work, too. Recon'sHide
The sbr prob has range out to 400 yds...I was watching an operator in afghanistan with a 14.5 inch noveske afghan pile driving a.steel target @.535 yds at will with a crosswind but he had different optics. Nonetheless I appreciate your info. Three gun for close cof's and cqb classes with Lamb, Vickers. Prob aimpoint though...vortex 1-6 on my LaRue! Thanks bro
steviesterno
Yeah, I know the SBR's are capable of way more in the right hands, but I know I'm not the right hands. My best bet has been at close distances and hosing, but it's just so fun to do that I never really accuracy test at distance. I would say an aim point because it's so head's up, it's nice to keep both eyes open and focused on the target. I will run a dot like that on all my close range or HD stuff, and save the 1x4 for distance. Either way, they are a blast!
countryboy223
Eotech wouldnt be a bad bet either.
darkmark
Aimpoint T 1 would be my vote
hitman_usmc
Aimpoint T-1 is the best I've used so far.
Seth Long
I like my Eotech on a SBR, and it works good in my hands out to 200 yards or so. I wouldn't want to be shooting a dot at 400 though. The aimpoint micro is also very nice.
iShootguns
I run an Aimpoint PRO (2 MOA dot) on my 10.3" DD Mk18 and have no problem hitting the steel at 300 yards at our monthly Defensive Carbine match.
