Jame Gumb
What are some of the different kinds of pants people are wearing? I've got 5.11 pants but I tear them a lot. Looking for something more durable. Gotta look cool too! I'm looking at crye and kitanica right now. Any others I've missed?
Greg Bell
I've got Tru-Spec from CPWSA a vendor here. He also carries their heavier duty version tru-extreme which might suit your needs. http://www.cpwsa.com/truspec.htm

busyhawk
IMHO I love the Mascot pants with Kevlar knees from Repcon NW. MASCOT® *Lerida* with Kevlar® Knee Pad Pockets SKU#: 05079-010 $79.95 These pants are not made in Asia! Talk to Chris at 1-800-325-8707 and ask for the NorthWest Multi-Gun Challenge pricing and he will work with you. Mascot supplies companies like Boeing Aircraft, the Mars Corporation and other large companies US Wide. These pants are easy to put pads into for each stage from the outside but if you just want to keel down you can. Hope this helps... Tom Mainus
I am a carpenter by trade, and the Duluth Trading firehose work pants are the best pants I have tried in a long time. They are comfortable, durable, have plenty of pockets. I used to be a Carhart guy until I tried the Duluth's. http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/mens/duluth-ingenuity/fire-hose-workwear/fire-hose-workwear.aspx Tom Edited June 14, 2012 by Tom Mainus

bobmysterious
Arc'teryx!!! They'll take a beating and still look good. And they have 16 less pockets than some of the other candidates...

ClutchUSMC
24/7s were my go to but I have several pairs of vertex pants and shorts and they are much better.
walter hornby
personally i use the costco convertible pants. they are in expensive ($20), easily converts to shorts and i have one pair that is 6 years old. Believe me when i say i am not easy on clothes and that pig pen is a second stringer.
target1911
Truspec 24/7 here. I took a nasty bite from a German Shepherd that should have taken a chunk of meat. Hardly broke the skin, didn't damage my pants but it hurt like hell. The ones with rip stop are much more durable than the all cotton version. Aglifter
I just bought some Ascent shorts today from Bass Pro - no binding at all. If they make pants it would be worth checking out.

curtismantronik
+1 for vertx pants. Fit well and don't bind your junk while moving. I have several pairs and they have held up very well.
