colt Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 Got a new Netgear router and got it hooked up and working on my desktop and got wireless working on ipod and ps3 but daughter compack laptop with Vista says connected to network but not the internet. Jadeslade Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 Sometimes with Vista I had to set up Network connections on laptop in question via Ethernet then disconnect and go wireless, with a new round of setup.. Nik Habicht Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 My Linksys router made it very easy, by allowing me to create a "software key" to download to a USB Drive. Plug that USB Drive in the laptops, ran the software key, and voila, internet and network access.... Might need to look at the NetGear software to see if something like that is an option....
