Wakal Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 I didn't get one either...last year, they were being pretty coy about it...one of the gentlemen said that they had noticed that business dropped off heavily the last part of December through the SHOT show and then was heavy right after SHOT. His opinion was that they had "trained" their customers to wait for the discount. My reaction was "...well, yes...if you can afford to drop 10% for three months, then why not all the time?" We usually order a couple thousand bucks worth because of it. I guess not this year. No biggy they still are sponsoring shooting events. I was one of those who was holding off ordering about a few hundred, since with the discount, it'd be cheaper than another company. Rich Why yes we have I think I remember my dealer getting one after an order for me one year? Wait, So LE3 is working for 10% off over $150? I told a friend to order his own parts last week. Luckily he knows the guys at Brownells pretty well and got some kind of discount since he's in the industry. His parts alone where just under $1500 not including the STI frame that is coming right from STI. If we had added some it would have been double. But we did not want to take advantage of the deal he was getting. Side Note: We stopped at Brownells on the Drive back from 3Gun natls in Vegas and got a tour from Larry after meeting Frank. It's a nice place. Big, Clean, Organized. Their range could be a little bigger though. I wouldn't mind going there for 3-gun if it were.
