I did a search but nothing on the new Nightforce NX8 1-8 scopes? Should be a great choice for our sport, right? Is there something I have not understood here? Scope seem to be light, compact, BDC, good reticle, 1-8X, FFP, day time visible? What is not to like?

Hello all! I've got a Bergara LRP in 6.5CM on the way and I'll be putting a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50 with 34mm tube on it. I'm curious if anyone has this setup and could recommend a ring height. Or, if anyone has the LRP in 6.5CM, could you measure the distance from the top of the rail to the barrel from a point 7in from the center of the rail? That would help me calculate the max allowable offset. Any advice for the rings would be appreciated! Rob

I quite recently built a new upper for my IPSC open rifle. The built was made by quality parts, including a Spuhr mount, Zeiss V8 1-8, JP handguard and a Criterion hybrid Barrel. I was looking forward to getting something new with a fresh barrel and good optics. ………..the thing works like a champ besides the fact that the package is too heavy for me. I don’t think it is particularly heavy, it is just too much for me. After I really blew some stages in a Level III match because of this I have decided to start over. Can someone point me in the right direction on what components to choose if you want to build something light, including scope and mount, that still can handle a 40 round stage? Thanks for all help

I have a scope that is mechanically sound, but for some reason the finish on the scope has become tacky and gooey. Touching it leaves black gum on your hands. Almost like the scope was tape wrapped or subjected to some type of chemical at sometime. But since I bought the scope NIB I know that is not the case. Now the scope has a Lifetime Warranty, but that is no help. The company that built it is out of business and while a new company of the same name exists; they don't service the old scopes. So, at some point I want to replace the scope entirely. But until then, any thoughts on what I could do to handle the tacky exterior? Since its on a camo rifle, I was thinking about getting the matching MossyOak scope wrap and just wrapping it to cover the tacky surface.

Hello: I am looking to start shooting Tac Optics but do not have the money to drop on $1000 scope. I have narrowed down to two budget minded scopes and was seeing which one you guys think. Bushnell 1-4 IR with the built in rapid adjustment or Primary Arms 1-6 I realize these are not the best options but I want to get a feel for Tac Optics before going on a saving spree for a really good scope. Hey All I sighted in my stag 3G this weekend. I have my qts sights dead on at 50 yards. I sighted In my Burris tac 30 to 100 yards. My question is is this correct for his scope? If I understand the reticle the center dot dead on at 100 then I use the bottom of the dot for 200, the next lower dot for 300 and so on. I will be using this scope for three gun, have any of you used it? If so out to what range? Thanks.
