  1. Mag well report. 04/11/22 by AP All initial testing done with PD parts and Tanfoglio Stock Master in 9mm from PD. Zero internal extra parts all stock internals. Some testing is from personal hand fitment. Phenomenal machine work. IFG frames fit flawless zero blending Eric Xtreme grips need fitting to work with it (had to cut and fit mine ) Been slamming reloads like hell with it. Magwell "auto corrects" better than Toni System. A small hands version without relief cuts for better Traction (maybe diamonds cut) would be a nice option. I have zero play or wiggle. Screw stays tight without loctite. The lines and anesthetics match and flow with the 2021 Stock Master frames perfect. Rating from lots of Dry Fire with PD pads since aquired DF. 10/10 looks 10/10 function 10/10 fit to frame 8/10 personal hand fit and other non pd grips MAY need fitting 10/10 transitions and smoothness 9/10 auto correct. Very few hangups with PD well. 20/10 for speed increase 9/10 for material hardness and marklessness. 10/10 for several base pad fitments. Fit all, Taylor Freelance, Patriot Defense, Henning Gen1/2, Shock Bottle, etc. In summary; The Patriot Defense Magwell for Tanfoglio Large frames is the go to top editor rated pick for a magwell. I have tried EVERY magwell on the market to include Toni System, EGW, Tanfoglio Unica, Tanfoglio extreme and Tanfoglio Gold Team Eric. This Patriot Defense magwell tops them all in Function, fitment, and anesthetics. Second pick would be Toni System. I highly recommend for Divisions in USPSA/IPSC/3G. Open and Limited etc.
  2. I have used the Taccom a bit has anyone used anything else and what where your thoughts on any and all of them?
  3. Looking for recommendations regarding magwell for std (not sf) gen3 that has good heal of hand purchase. Thank you ahead of time for feedback
  4. I would like to get some feedback on which magwell & base pads I should add to my P-09. The only magwells I know about are Springer Precision & CZ Custom. Both of them make the larger base pads for mags, but so does Greg Cote, LLC. Pro's & con's of any of the above? Others I am not thinking about? Thanks.
  5. I'm looking at buying a magwell for my M&P 1.0. I'm shooting limited and am looking at SSS ESP and the SSS Limited magwell. I'm not sure which route to go. I'm looking for pros and cons of magwell and mounting system. Info would be appreciated, or if there is something better out there.
  6. Hello, Would someone know does gen 3 Glock 17 (or 34) equipped with Dawson Precision ICE magwell fit in to IPSC Standard box (225 x 150 x 45 mm)? G17/34 is 138 mm tall, so there's only 12 mm free space "under" the grip. Length won't be a problem with G17, but G34 is 222 mm long, so there's only 3 mm of free space.. Width won't be a problem. Dawson told me that ICE is 42 mm wide. For some reason Dawson hasn't provided me an answer to this question (how much ICE adds to the length and height of the gun). I've asked it from them couple of times, and they always send me a reply telling how much ICE weights
  7. I had Jayson at LOK grips whip these up for me, they are his new "thin" grips but cut for use on a CZ 75 with a magwell. The magwell is from CZ Custom and had a local Cerakote them. Jayson is fantastic to work with, so if you need anything custom from him I highly recommend it. These are extremely aggressive and just what I have been looking for.
  8. Well, like a proud parent I am pleased to announce that I have ordered a Tactical Sport. Hopefully it gets here soon. Now to get to work 140mm Extensions So I have heard mixed comments on the TF baseplates, that they take some modification to work and *might* not work with the CZC large magwell. What light can you all shed on this? The CZC extensions are significantly more expensive, so that makes me wonder if the TF might be another option. After reading the "20 rounds in a TS mag" thread, I am slightly confused what springs are the best choice. Sounds like the Grams 11 coil gets some people 21, and some people are using the CZC springs/followers. What is the easiest one to just plug and play for maximum capacity? Sights I want to stick with the fixed rear, I am led to believe that the 7.5 mm front is the correct height for the stock rear. is this correct? Magwell I don't really like the look of the czechmate magwell (is the TS magwell that is listed on the CZ USA website the same as the czechmate magwell but silver?) on the TS, so I would probably like to stick to the CZC large magwell, but have heard concerns of both the CZC basepads and the TF base pads not wanting to seat. Is this true? Can you use factory base pads, perhaps with a little filing on the front lip of the magazine (would just save me having to buy another basepad if I could leave one magazine stock) Frame Reduction/Grips I am a decently handy guy, if I go slow and take my time is it difficult to take off the waffling? I have pretty small hands (mens size small/medium gloves), but the one Czechmate I have shot felt pretty decent, I think doing a real reduction would make it perfect. What have you guys used to remove the checkering? I shot a CZ accushadow with the CZUSA checkered grips this past weekend, and liked the additional grip provided versus the smooth aluminum with a tiny bit of grip tape. How difficult is filing grips to fit the magwell? Has anyone sanded the factory grips way down, and completely covered them in skate tape? Thank you all for your help, I will have lots of questions I am sure, since this is my very first hammer fired gun! I look forward to learning your ways, CZ masters
  9. Hi - I have a CORE M&P pistol in .40 and I'm looking for a Magazine Well. I am new to the competitive side and have gotten some TT magazine extenders and would like to get a magwell to put on my handgun as well. My challenge is either my google-fu is week, or finding a Maxwell online is hard. Add to that when I do find them, there seems to be what to my eye from the picture 'look identical' yet one says 'IDPA Box' and one says 'Limited 10'. I'm not doing IDPA or USPA type shooting, just local range competition. I don't know if I'll ever do the IDPA/USPA but the gun I'm putting this on is optic enabled so if I understand it right that would be 'open' class gun. So if it could later be used in an 'open' class at the official guys that'd be nice, but I don't have any plans to do that. I've sent emails to a couple shooting vendors asking 'what's the difference' and 'do you have one that fits M&P?' but haven't gotten a response so I thought I'd ask here and see if I could get some feedback.
  10. I'm looking for the Speed Shooters ESP magwell but they seem to be out of stock everywhere - anybody know where I can snatch one up?
  11. I have some mag related questions on my RIA Doublestack. It's the .22TCM/9mm setup. Forget the .22TCM. I will be running almost exclusively 9mm. The idea is I shoot an STI Edge .40 in USPSA but I want to have a high-cap 1911/2011 type setup in 9mm for 3-gun. Power Factor isn't an issue in 3G, and I also don't wanna worry about scratching a $2K+ gun in 3G. The frame appears to be a copy of a Para double-stack frame. I got a bunch of factory RIA mags (which appear to be Para copies as well), which are 17 rounders. They haven't been shot yet, so I can sell or trade if needed. I want to put a magwell on the gun, but the factory mags are flush-fit, so no extensions, base pads, or magwells will work. I didn't think this completely through, I know. Question 1: Are there longer 9mm Para or RIA mags available? If so, how much capacity can I expect? Question 2: I've heard about STI mags used in Para guns. How does that work (a link will suffice). I know my .40 tubes won't work (can't be cheap and easy, right?) Thanks for the help!
  12. Does anyone know if it is production legal to put a Glockmeister grip plug in the magwell? I am looking at production rule 22.3 and I think it's legal as long as the plug doesn't extend past the bottom of the grip (Which the Glockmeister doesn't). If anyone has personal experience or is a NROI certified RO I would love a clarification. From rule book: External plugs (such as Seattle Slug): Remains in effect – external plugs which alter the grip profile or extend past the bottom of the grip are PROHIBITED.
