  1. Hi guys, could you please guide me on picking a handgun to shoot at USPSA limited division (40 S&W caliber), among the following options: 1- CZ TS orange, 2- EAA (Tanfoglio) Limited Custom Xtreme, 3- RIA pro Match with HCG package, and 4- Atlas Titan. I am not looking for buy a handgun now, and building my skills on it, and then upgrade and spend some extra time&money to adjust to the new platform. Saying that, I don't want to pay extra money for something that has virtually no additional positive effect on accuracy, recoil management, trigger control, ... I should add, look really does not matter. In the end, thanks in advance for your guide, and if you have any other suggestion beyond the four handgun I mentioned, I do appreciate if you share your thought.
  2. I recently acquired a S&W 625 .45acp revolver. I'm sure it was owned by a competitive shooter because the trigger has a stop installed on the rear surface and there is a ball detent in the top of the crane which securely locks the cylinder in place. The problem is when the trigger is pulled quickly for rapid fire the cylinder often jumps two chambers rather than just one. It cycles normally in slow fire and single action. Upon initial examination I determined the hammer block had been removed. I understand this is a common but by no means safe procedure to speed up the action of the revolver. I replaced the hammer block but it made no difference to the skipping problem when in rapid fire. All this testing has been done with a empty pistol. I'm not about to risk life and limb with a mistimed revolver. Returning it to S&W is an option but I'm comfortable replacing parts on the gun if I know where to start.
  3. Wanting to get people's actual experience with using the Magnetospeed on their handguns. Before folks start talking about the Labradar it is not an option at my indoor range as I am not allowed to have my muzzle back far enough to align itself with the LR at the shooting position. I already contacted LR re the use of the Doppler trigger and they said it would probably not work in my application. Also, due to physical problems outdoor ranges are not practical for me. So...I am interested in getting some real-world feedback. The handguns that I am most interested in using it with are 1) RIA 1911 with rail; 2) CZ Sp-01; 3) Glock 17; 4) Desert Eagle that only has a top rail (Mark XIX-44mag); 5) Ruger GP100 (no rail). Thanks in advance!

Match Meeting starts at 8:00AM on July 12, 2015. Match begins at 8:15AM on July 12, 2015. Equipment You Will Need: A handgun chambered in 9x19mm or larger. A holster for your handgun. It is highly recommended you get one designed specifically for your gun and not a universal holster. Plenty of ammunition. Bring at least 300 rounds. It never hurts to have “too much” ammo and it is highly recommended you bring more (never know how many “make up” shots you might need or you may need to reshoot a stage)! Not sure what division you have the equipment for [see Appendix D]? Want to get more in-depth with the rules? Read more here: http://www.uspsa.org/document_library/rules/2014/Feb%202014%20Handgun%20Rules.pdf List of Production division approved handguns: http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-production-gunlist.php More information is always available on the Great Plains Sectional webpage: http://www.easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/great-plains-sectional.html Also please join us and "like" us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GPSectional If you have any questions please reply to this thread or PM me!
  5. Hey, New on the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I'm a Swedish competition shooter in IPSC handgun, rifle and shotgun… but mainly a rifle shooter. I am a very active competitor both in Sweden and internationally (over 50 matches in my two active years) and put a lot of time into my guns… building and tweaking for optimal results. I work as a tattoo artist since 20 years back and also do a lot of design work. Looking forward to a lot of interesting topics and posts. //Mikael "St.Michael" Schelén instagram.com/st.michael facebook.com/platinum.ink.tattoo.co
