  1. I am thinking of using my Shadow 2 for a backup gun for LO. So, I will most likely need to purchase short grips, and a magwell. I am looking for someone with first hand experience with both the Lok Grip Palm Swell Bogies versus Palm Swell Gridlok Aluminum. The search function is not turning up much. I have some Lok Grip brass palm swell for my AXG Pro, and I am not a fan of the metal texture. I am not a fan of any metal grip textures on pistols really. I have never touched the Bogies, so I am curious if people feel there is a noticeable difference in Grippyness between these.
  2. The coupon code "CZSHADOW" can be used to all SHADOW 2 Grips in the Guuun store by Amazon, Extra discount:Save 10% each on CZ Grips when you purchase 2 or more. 1. These grips are customized for CZ-75 Shadow2, Workmanship is outstanding! 2. They are slimmer than the factory palm swell grips, that allows for someone with smaller hands a better touch, easy to install and add a great look to the gun. 3. G10 Phenolic Material is extremely durable, and has very high mechanical strength, It is difficult to break. 4. Free Screws Set: 2 screws, 2 O-Rings, T10 Torx keys included. 5. 3. Hi. Recently bought a used Czeckmate and 2nd barrel doesn’t fit. It fits but can’t assemble pistol. You can see why in picture. Is this barrel from a different CZ? If so which one? Should I try to modify myself, there is enough metal, or take to gunsmith, or just buy a second barrel if needed. Could sell this to someone if I knew what it fits. thanks in advance. Love this Czeckmate!!
  4. Anyone know where I can get one?
  5. Greetings! I am relatively new to pistols, have been shooting IPSC just over a year. The gun is CZ Shadowline, fully stock, except for fitted pre-B disconnector and minor internal clean ups. I can shoot it okay from time to time, but lack consistency. Took a class recently, and have been told the grip may be too narrow for my hand size (8.5 in surgical gloves, fairly long fingers). With two handed grip, my left palm sits mostly on the right finger tips and barely contacts the pistol. This leads to poor grip after 5-6 shots in rapid fire drills. Thinking about getting slightly thicker grip panels or maybe an upgrade to Shadow 2 - I find S1 / S2 much easier to control thanks to the checkering on front and back straps. My philosophy is to make the best use of the equipment I already have, but on the other hand one should not be running half-marathons in shoes that are a size too small...

    Shadow 2 Optic?

I see on CZ Custom’s website that they do not put their rds plate on a Shadow 2. Any way to get a red dot on one? Thanks, Jeff
  7. Just got my first CZ (shadow custom from CZC). I'm used to loading my 147s to 1.14 OAL for an M&P Pro. Went to reload for the CZ and it wouldn't pass the plunk test with anything longer than 1.09 using BBI 147s. Xtreme and Everglades ammo 147 both pass the plunk test with my normal load at 1.14. I have a case of BBI sitting around and would like to use them, and I've tended to get better accuracy with coated vs plated out of my other guns. Just wanted to see if anyone else is going that short in their shadows? And if so how much are backing off the powder(if any)? I'm using titegroup in these loads. Not looking to ream the barrel just yet. Thanks in advance
  8. Looking to have my shadow 2 machined for an optic (either a dpp or rmr) and see there quite a few “methods” of getting the dot to mount to the slide. I’ve narrowed it down to: Primary Machine Cajun Gunworks Fire for Effect Ive seen a few methods in which there are clearly exposed threads from the mounting screws. Does anyone have experience with any of the above shops?
  9. I have been a member for some time and found some very useful information here in the past. This I my first time posting and asking for advice. Due to “old age”, I am thinking about switching from production and limited to Carry Optics. My production gun is a SP01 shadow and my backup a CZ 75 shadow TAC II which I both enjoy shooting, but favorite gun is my Tanfo Limited Custom. I am trying to decide between a SP01 Shadow RDS 91158 and a CZ 75 bull shadow OR 91725. The red dot will be a Trijicon SRO. Does anyone have experience with the Bull shadow? I picked the SP01 over the shadow 2, when I started, because I thought 1 gun for IDPA and USPSA would be an advantage but I am gravitating more and more to USPSA. BTW I can’t afford open. Any suggestions and/or advice on which C.O. gun to pick? The Tanfo “fits” my hand better than the SP01/75 but it is a no go for CO. By fit, I mean the larger grip; both of my CZ have modified Lok Palm swell grips. My hand position is also “higher” on the Tanfo which I like.. I also don’t want to spend the money on an Atlas and buy all new mags :o), not saying that I don’t want one just can’t afford one. sp01 RDS vs cz75 Bull OR vs shadow 2 OR vs the gun I didn’t think about?
  10. I'm looking to buy a new toy for the range. Since I'm working EVERY weekend for the foreseeable future I most likely will NEVER use this gun for competition, so I'm not concerned whatsoever about which one is legal for which division class blah, blah, blah. I am simply wanting a superb shooting pistol for plinking steel at my gun club. I have narrowed it down to a few I'm very interested in, but I have never had the opportunity to shoot any of them. I did own an STI Staccato-P, and I really liked it...but when I found out they were releasing a 5" version I sold it to fund a precision rifle build. I had planned to replace it later on with the Staccato-P5, but that model went tits-up before it was ever released. So here are the pistols in which I'm interested. All would be 9mm caliber CZ-75 TSO STI Staccato XL Walther PPQ Q5 SF Standard (dont like the magwell on the Pro) Arex Rex Alpha Sig P210 Target Or... Wait for the Dan Wesson DWX to be released. Just curious which one YOU would choose, or if there's a model you would avoid, and why (i.e. cost-vs-law of diminishing returns, factory support, aftermarket parts availability, etc, etc) . Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks
  11. The S2 orange is here and it sure is nice! Better overall feel vs the previous S2 in the grip, better feel on weight distribution. The addition of the 1911 style bushing is a big plus! Only downside as of right now is it didnt ship with a flat safety and has the extended safety oob. Priced at 1999 usd.

    Accu Shadow 2

I've got an Accu Shadow with quite a few miles on it, and have planned to replace it at the end of the year. I really wanted to get another identical Accu, but now that they've come out with the Shadow 2 I think I should make the switch. I just looked on the CZ Custom website and they're selling the Accu Shadow 2 now. That's the one I want. Any idea when it could be approved? How does it work? Seemed like the Shadow 2 made the list pretty fast. Thanks
  13. I recently had my shadow 2 Cerakoted. I had the urban gray and it was flaking off something serious. I get the pistol back from the store, take it home, and reassemble. A couple days go by and I finally have time to Dryfire. 1 Dryfire session and the magwell looks like this and cerakote has started to come off the front from holster wear. I thought cerakote was more durable then this. For what it cost I would have had the gun finished a different way, unless this is considered excessive wear.
  14. This is going to be a multi video process. Stay tuned for further videos. They can also be viewed on my Youtube Channel. More videos to follow shortly 3. Removing The trigger bar and trigger assembly - (SEE ABOVE FOR POLISHING) 4. Removal of stock staked trigger pin 5. Installation of CGW reduced power trigger return spring and CGW floating trigger pin 6. Reassembly 7. Testing
  15. Hi there, I have a CZ TSO, but the question applies to all CZ's/handguns: any recommendations here to what spare parts I should have in house to not have to wait a few weeks on an order when something breaks? And what spare parts are smart to bring to a match if you don't have a backup handgun? So something like: Spare parts you should keep in stock at house (recoil spring, extractor, fire pin, ... etc.) Spare parts you should bring to a match for quick repairs (??...) Like to hear your thinking! Best, MccLace.
  16. Because there isn’t a lot of information about it, I thought I would share how I set up my P10F for USPSA Carry Optics. Current Setup: P10F Optics Ready Cajun Gunworks -10320 Reduced Pull Striker and Spring, my trigger breaks at 3.0 lbs YMMV. - P10F Hardened Stainless Guide Rod w/ 15 lb recoil spring. CZ Custom: -Mounting Plate for Vortex Razor -140mm Extensions (Factory spring and follower for 22 reloadable) HB Industries Theta Trigger Shoe Talon Grips Vortex Razor 6 MOA As far as work I’ve done to the gun, I polished the contact services (Sear shelf, striker safety, etc). I’m running a BBI 135gr at around 134 PF, and I found that the 15 lb spring from Cajun allows the dot to track nicely. I’ve tried flat wire Glock springs, 11, and 13 lb and determined that I personally prefer the 15 lb. Striker Springs: Glock springs work, I’ve tried a Zev 2 lb spring, this dropped the pull weight down to 2.5 lb, but was only 95% reliable on Federal primers. That being said I may still try a 3lb Zev spring, but at this point I’m content with where the gun is at as far the trigger is concerned. Mags: I like the CZ Custom Extensions, though I haven’t had a chance to try the Springer extensions (the set screw thing steers me away). I’m current using the factory spring and follower for 22 reloadable. I’m going to try the Grams P series spring and follower kit. I have read that some folks are trimming the STI 11-coil spring and followers to around 29mm front to back and have had good results, and I know that the CZC 10-coil will work as well. I have also heard that Henning has a P series 140mm extension in the works, I will definitely pick these up. Miscellaneous: It seems that this gun doesn’t like round nose flat point profile bullets, even loaded down to 1.07” OAL. It really likes the BBI 135gr and the Gallant 147gr. STICK WITH ROUND NOSE. I think that sums it up for me, hopefully someone finds this useful. I prefer this setup over the Shadow/S2, for various reasons. This gun is a very viable, and underrated IMo, for USPSA Carry Optics.
  17. Ask anyone, I love my CZ Shadow 2’s, but that 10+ D/A trigger pull was off the Wheeler Trigger Pull Scale, what’s with that? Polishing and spring changes brought it down to a respectable sub 5.4lbs and about a 25% reduction in the S/A as well. Totally worth doing and will tackle my practice/range OR S2 At some point as well. Also, what’s with the pot metal that’s being used for the ridiculously overpriced torx bolts being used to hold the grips, mag release and optic plates on? Part of a playlist 1/12.......................................................................................................................
  18. I need help identifying the firing pin spring in the image below on the far LEFT... it came in an extra slide I ordered from CGW. I let them know I needed the extended firing pin, and that I was using their "Shadow 2 Upgrade Kit w/ Reach Reduction and 8.5# Hammer Spring" (which is the firing pin/spring in the MIDDLE while the stock firing pin/spring is on the RIGHT). Basically just wondering if anyone knows what spring this is and if anyone else is running it. Also, I'm a little more curious than patient because I probably could email CGW, but where would the fun in that be?
  19. Hi, First post here. I tried searching google for answers and I've searched the IDPA rule book but I wanted to get a for sure confirmation on my question. I just got a CZ P-10F and I plan to use it for IDPA SSP. I'm having an issue of my trigger hand thumb riding the slide release and causing the slide not to lock after the last round. I usually run Gen4 Glocks and being left handed I dont have this issue. Options are retrain years of grip technique, go back to Gen4 Glocks, or cut the release. My reason for posting is if I cut the release tab will this DQ my gun from IDPA or remove me from SSP? Thanks
  20. Just got the new P10F and no spare made to be had anywhere in Canada. The P10 mags work in the P09, but not the other way around. But the P09 mags can be converted to work with the P10F with a little metalwork you can do at your bench.
  21. Up until today I’d been running Campro 147’s with Vihtavuori N320 through my non-optic ready Shadow 2. I discovered that the Optic Ready isn’t loving that combination quite as much, but it sure does love the 124’s. Making a switch in my reloading as soon as I’ve shot through the 147’s reloads.
  22. I recently obtained my Shadow 2 Optic Ready. I had already purchased 2 Vortex Venom RDS months ago in anticipation for taking possession of the Shadow 2 OR as well as the P10F OR when it’s available in Canada. When I received the Shadow, I went about removing the rear sight plate, not a problem; installing the CZ Vortex Venom adapter plate to the Shadow, not a problem; installing the Vortex Venom to the adapter plate; big problem. The included hardware sunk into the foam, meant to secure the red dot to the adapter plate, did not fit the adapter plate. Try as I might, the bolts would not grab hold. Eventually I pulled out the calipers and started measuring and discovered that the bolts were about 1mm larger than the contact points of the adapter plate and in the right light, I noticed the wear on the ends of the bolts where they were wearing themselves on the surface of the adapter plate. As I had already been playing with the RDS, the box and contents it had contained were thoroughly rummaged in. I decided to open the brand new Venom box to see if the bolts included in there were a different size and that’s when I noticed the baggie labeled GLOCK MOS containing two additional bolts. These fit. So what I had done was stash that baggie under the foam in the original box because I don’t own Glock products (never will) so I figured the baggie with the bolts was of no use, glad I didn’t toss it though. Anyways, I’ve gotten a number of people watching my video on the Shadow 2 optic ready on Youtube, asking me about mounting the Vortex Venom as they are running into the same problem. Not all Vortex Venoms, be it 6MOA or 3MOA are shipping with that GLOCK MOS package of bolts, and you NEED those. I had contacted my retailer of the optic plate and they suggested the problem is with the Venom. The problem is not with the Venom. I think CZ didn’t tap the holes big enough to use the mounting hardware that Vortex provides with all their Vortex Venoms, that being the larger bolts stuck in the foam. If you’re running into problems, you may need to contact Vortex for the smaller bolts. I was at the point where I was going to either tap a larger opening into the adapter plate or reduce the size of the bolts in the foam, fortunately I didn’t have a tap/die set that would work for this and spent the time hunting for what was missing in the install. Good luck and hope this helps!
  23. Maybe this has already been answered somewhere, I just couldn't find anything too definitive. I have a SP01 MS that I'm going to experiment with a 11/12 lb recoil spring, and was wondering if a buffer is the way to go for something like long term frame health. I was also wondering if the stock delrin guide rod can be used and what kind of buffers to use and where to get them. Thanks
  24. My search skills are failing me: At some point I had seen a link to animated GIFs of how single and double action 75s work. For the life of me, I cant find the link. If anyone could share again it would be appreciated. Why im looking: With the last round in the chamber and the magazine follower pressing up on the slide lock, my last trigger pull in Single Action wont break. If I apply downward pressure on the slide release lever (round chambered, not locked back) it applies a slight amount of pressure to the trigger bar and Single Action Breaks. The Firearm: CZ SP-01 with a Manual Safety CGW 75115 Production Legal Kit (Self Installed) What I HAVE done: Installed the 75117 Kit I was having an issue where the Double Action would not break, I found a post on here showing where to "heavy polish" a few .001s off the disco wing... problem solved. Fixed a "light strike" issue by learning the importance of properly seating my primers while reloading. Searched the carpet of my living room with a magnet for springs that did not want to stay put. What I HAVE NOT done: Called David at CGW Taken the gun to an actual professional at the LGS I've really loved my SP-01 and installing the Production Legal Kit was a blast. I know the Single Action breaking is related to the trigger bar, im just not sure where. I'm not above actually bringing it to a professional, I just want to take a stab at tuning it myself first. If anyone has any pointers, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance. Cheers!
