**Held at Element Training Complex in Holt, FL March 18-19, 2023** SOF Match 2023 is a Special Operations inspired 2-Gun Competition held every year by Range Project Group International since 2019. This match will host over 120 shooters from all over the United States and challenge even the most seasoned competitors. RPGi will host the SOF Match 2023 at Element Training Complex. There will be shots from 5yds to 250yds in traditional competition bays and natural terrain. Apart from shooting technical stages you will drag heavy things, comando crawl under wire, jump over obstacles, breach a door, Shoot from/around Vehicles, crawl through tunnels and much more! The match will begin on Saturday March 18th (Staff shoot with select competitors) and end on March 19th (Main match day). We will award top shooters from the following divisions with huge custom metal trophies, cash payout on stage winners and have a random prize drawing. Good morning, I'm curious as to how well a P320/365 FCU holds up if used for competition. I've heard that the slide rails on the FCU look worn past 20k although not yet worn-out, and that the ejector on the FCU looks worn at around 30k although also still not worn out. Then I've heard someone with 100k through a single FCU say his rails and ejector on his FCU look brand new. So I'm wondering, those of you who've used modular Sigs for competition, how well do the FCUs hold up?

Hello all, I’m starting my journey into USPSA and would like tips for improvement. I’m working on my technique in dry fire and running drills based off of Ben Stoeger’s dry fire book. Going to the range is your typical no drawing from holster and limited to shooting at one target. I’m sure shooting 6 shots rapidly won’t get me kicked out. I do use the rifle sight in targets to practice transitions and lately printing out A zone sized targets with a smaller circle in the middle. The smaller circle helps with giving me something to focus on and anything outside of It is what I try to limit. I used this setup to practice doubles and controlled pairs. What else would be worth focusing on? With the price of ammo I’m shooting twice per month. One range session and one match. Any tips for shooting at an indoor range and getting some quality practice. Newish to the forums! Also new to USPSA (July 2017). Just noticed that guys would do some friendly motivational challenges to race the next class. I wanted to attempt to do the same to encourage to get out and push ourselves to move up! I guess we can give it to the end of the month to see if it draws any attention. Just post a reply and put your USPSA member number in the post and I will compile them and track them monthly. We can see our progress at the end of the year. Kita Busse is coming to the Richmond Hotshots Range to teach her Movement Class. Richmond, California USPSA-Style Movement Class Oct 3 and 4 Curriculum: Explosive movement, shooting on the move with a hitch step, lean/drop step, position exit/entry, stage programming, the movement portion of transitions, USPSA specific skills, how to prevent and recover from a fall. Side note: I recommend taking Ibuprofen, stretching, and drinking plenty of fluids the day before the class in order to prevent injury and to get the most out of it. Be Prepared! We shoot rain, shine or hurricane, so bring weather appropriate gear, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. Plenty of extra ammo, extra mags, mag brush, a spare gun if you have it, sight adjustment tools for your gun, any gun repair items/replacement parts you may need, squib rod, etc. We’ve had students lose their front sight on many occasions, so bring an extra if you’ve got it! You are going to shoot enough rounds that you will probably have to clean your gun after the first day, so bring your gun cleaning kit! Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Safety You are responsible for your own safety as well as the safety of those around you. Please stay alert and follow range rules. I joined here last year and am not a person who posts much. After multiple months of reviews/reading I can say thank you for the improvement to my shooting. Background - Former LAPD firearms instructor,99-09, shot 3-gun and Glock matches from 2003-2009 (PIRU CA)before I retired. I was adequate/middling for lack of a better word. I have started (2017) to put the time in Glock matches (no more three gun due to surgeries that forced me to retire from LE and am thinking about USPSA again). Fear of injury is stopping me more than anything, but I need to get out and try. Then reason that I want to thank all of you for what I have read and I hoped to retain (LOL, I;m slow) and to get better. In the last 5 months I have won guns in the Glock guardian category in the west. I am excited. Now I get to move up to a master shooter in the Glocks and am looking at USPSA (close) to me. This is because I have been doing the drill as recommended by Brian and other daily. I shoot the Littlefield AZ match last past weekend. though I did ok. Well to my surprise the guys who would normally stomp a mudhole in me by 20-25 second did not show. It looks like I won the Matchmister. wahoo!! I am going to use what I have learned here to better myself and get out to more USPSA shoots. thanks to all on this forum, I appreciate it!!! Dan Schmidt

Im in the process of fitting an infinity stainles steel grip to an STI EXECUTIVE. I notice now when I slide the MSH up it engages the hammer strut before it's fully in place. Strut is in cup. Seems to put a lot of pressure on the hammer making trigger pull crazy hard. Is it normal to have to fit a strut? Any help would be appreciated. Also I'm using the infinity ignition kit (infinity hammer, sear, disconnect, and 3 finger).

Hello, I've been searching for the past week for a good DOH holster in order to shoot production uspsa at my local club. The only company I can find that seems to make this is blade tech yet I cannot see where they make it specifically for the railed version of my gun (92a1). I've also read that ready tactical makes a good doh but I haven't read anywhere that they make one for my pistol. Can anyone please point me towards some literature concerning this or at least a doh holster that fits? PS: I'm well aware that there are better weapon choices for competition, I am shooting what I have until I can acquire a cz shadow target. Thanks

I have my third USPSA competition coming up in a few weeks and would like some specific advice how I can improve my scores. Here are links to my scores from my last match. Name is David Crosley ii and I shoot Production Minor with a Glock 19 g4. Main page for Nov. Production score: Combined score: Stage 1- 17th/35 55th/80 Stage 2- 17th/35 52nd/80 Stage 3- 17th/35 52nd/80 Stage 4- 15th/35 50th/80 Stage 5- 21st/35 66th/80 Stage 6- 19th/35 61st/80 I still don't fully understand the scoring system and am just trying to find out what I should try to improve on. Speed? Accuracy? Both? Any feedback from you experienced shooters would be highly appreciated.

I have my mind set on buying a Glock 34 for production in USPSA competition although I may move on to limited in the future. I am still new to the sport. I currently have a Gen4 19 that I am using, which was my first handgun, and I like the smaller grip of the G4 compared to the G3. I have shot a G3 34 and although the wider grip on it did not bother me much, I wasn't as accurate as I am with my G4 19. I've also heard some people claim that they shoot better with their g4 34 after owning both gens. Is there any benefit over one gen to the other in competition? I was leaning towards the g4 34 and figured the better grip would be worth it since it's what I'm already used to and could always use the same trigger set up in my 19. Any advice would be appreciated.

Tearing down the VMCT for the first time and looking for tips on how to remove the magazine tube from the receiver. The two socket head cap screws on either side of the tube appear to be welded/soldered and unable to be turned out of the receiver. Related note, how does one remove the spring and follower? .

I am in the process of building my 3 gun rifle. And I have almost completed the lowed. I was about to start building the upper and I just found a can get a lancer competition or super competition upper for a really good price. But I've never used on or ever seen one on person. So I'm looking for pros and cons. Experiences with it. Is the super competition worth the extra money? Does anyone know what kinda bolt and carrier group they use? Or any other comment or info y'all have on them. Thanks in advance for the help guys and here is a link to the page with all the specs they give. I'm a new shooter, as said previously. I've now done the classifier and shot in two club shoots. I got my classifier result almost two weeks after the shoot ... which meant I had to do one club shoot unclassified. The results of the two club shoots are still not available ... one 9 days ago and one 3 days ago. Am I missing the point? Are you shooting IDPA to compare yourself to others or is it similar to golf ... an individual thing. I can see it being both, but if I still don't know my times 9 days after the shoot, it becomes a bit silly/frustrating. Does it work differently for you guys? Is the scoring maybe a bit difficult? Despite the query, I have huge respect for the SOs that spend their whole day in the sun, making the shoot possible for newbies like myself.

Is the majority of the difference between a 16", 18" and 20" barrel the weight and distance shots, or is there something more that I should consider for my 3g build?
