180 Blue bullet, 1.135, 4.5gr of W231 or HP38. Has made 172-174 pf at every match I've shot since 2011... except last week at the A6 match it made 164.3.
Thank you.
The only "fitting" trouble I had was the screw that holds the mag release spring. The chrome got in there and the screw wouldn't tighten. If I was doing it again I'd just put it back in the gun before sending it.
What kind of trouble? I've put nothing but coated bullets through mine over the last 5 years. Once I got the OAL right I've had no issues. I'd guess these issues are related to profile and length rather than the coating.
The trigger, hammer, safety, and magwell were replaced. I cut the the dustcover, undercut the beaver tail and trigger guard. Removed the checkering and had it chromed. All of that bumped my match performance by about 0.001% I'm sure.
I never measured it with the stock trigger so no numbers. Honestly, any difference is negligible in my mind. I don't think it shows up in a stage at all. Maybe you can perceive the difference in dry fire.
