Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I bought one of those Frankford Arsenal Vibraprime things. Hand held. It works great. Can't load primers while doing something else, obviously, but it loads pretty fast and I never get flipped primers.
  2. So odd. I actually had a few light strikes with some S&B factory loads, changed out the somewhat old and I guess flaccid striker spring and have had no further issues. I have not had one single Ginex fail in both of my guns though and I know they are pretty hard primers .
  3. I've just gone though 5K Ginex primers with no problems. If you are experiencing light strikes you can probably resolve it by replacing your striker spring.
  4. This is the thumb roll technique. Very foolproof.
  5. IPSC Super Senior. For 70+ I think the new catagory should be called "Super Duper POOPER Senior."
  6. I have never turned my SRO's off. I'll turn the dot up at the beginning of the match and just turn it down at the end. Batteries last a very long time.
  7. On the 21 round factory mag, four or five strokes with a file on the back edge of the base pad and they all easily fit the guage. Took me about five minutes to do six mags.
  8. A couple or four aerosol spritzes of Frankford Arsenal case lube over a tray of around 400 water tumbled 9mm brass, thow it in the case feeder and load it. Works better than One Shot and doesn't leave a sticky residue. It's the best stuff I've used.
  9. And yes, you can use 1911 springs. Don't go too light.
  10. Between two guns I have over 20K rounds through and no sign of springs weakening.
  11. Vampire's Kiss was pretty cool. Nicolas Cage at his absolutely most bizarre. And very funny and dark.
  12. Taking it out AND then taking it completely apart. I took it apart the first time to swap out the trigger guts for the Grayguns kit and felt pretty unsure of myself at first. However, there's a ton of videos on YouTube on how to take it all down and put it back together. Coming from a 19/2011 world it looked more complicated at first, but it really isn't. Once you do it a few times you can almost do it with your eyes closed.
  13. It only takes a minute or two to break a 320 down to the small bits. Maybe twice that to put it all back together. It's not really a big deal.
  14. I have an X5 with Legion grip on it and an X5 Legion. Roughly 20,000 rounds split between the two of them with zero malfunctions. Very reliable guns so far.
