Ds10 or Ansac for a speed loader? Pros/cons other than build material?

The blocks are common enough that I will not be "that guy"?

I know the semis are the "norm" for rimfire, but everythime I start modifying a semi auto it turns into a long drawn out headache. Run the wheel gun and enjoy the sport rather than wondering what will fail next

I am in the process of researching speed loaders, the ds10 looks like a good option. The speed bees look like an option, but that might piss people off if I fumble on the line. The ansac look great, but 60x5=ouch.

Dumb green horn question. I am looking to use my 617, if by chance I do not empty the cylindar what is the correct way to empty the chamber of live rounds and spent brass and keep everyone happy between strings? Do you bring a shooting mat or bag to collect the unfired rounds?
