Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Borrowed a friend's 590m for a shotgun only stage last weekend, finished 15th of 50 having never even held one before then and bumbling the reload wasting like 8 seconds. I'm sure a top shooter would outrun one, but they will definitely keep up with most. If they can ever make a 930 work with these mags it'll be game over, but as is fun as hell and very competitive even with a pump. I should note the reload was my fault not knowing where to rock it in from. Once I took a peek under and saw where it needed to go it went right in. Not exactly the smoothest, and yes I foot faulted at the end (was shooting 2 gun, this was for no score), but all things considered if you can run a pump you can do pretty well to me. https://photos.app.goo.gl/K5UWRqMrM7yGecR1A Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  2. I'd start with something lower, 3.8gr of Prima V with 124 FMJs makes power factor for me. Going to SV and the jump with plated bullets I'm guessing would be way more than necessary, if not unsafe. Let me know how it goes though, interested in SV for 9mm 124s, it works great in .45 for making major, but wasn't sure if it was too fast for 9mm 124s. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  3. They aren't even listing pistol primers in their website anymore, wondering if they are phasing them out? Hopefully not, was a great option even when not on sale.
  4. Picked 8208 to start off loading with, very pleased so far. Groups started to open up some past 3,000fps,but everything under did nicely, including this guy. Too light of a load for what I need, but not bad for 4 shots at 50 yards with an AR. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  5. That stinks, lowest I've seen and running low. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks, pretty much spot on for what I'm looking for. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  7. Just a regular hand drill, the bits that comes with are about like a drill bit. You can take off too much, but a quick zip works great and is easy. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  8. Unfortunately the pictures aren't showing for me, but I think I know what you mean. Any reason you couldn't build up that part with JB Weld or something and file it down until it has enough travel to release the sear? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  9. Now that USPSA Production rules have been relaxed, are there any good aftermarket trigger options that reduce over travel for a 92? Have heard about speed bump triggers but don't know much about them. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  10. Correct he needs to get the Apex pin for Federals, but what was noteworthy was the difference between large and small varieties. Not anything I had heard of, but very real. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  11. When I say reamer bit I mean the reamer in this guy. Chucks up easily. https://www.cabelas.com/product/Lyman-Case-Prep-Multi-Tool/1168182.uts?productVariantId=2891635&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=03155672&rid=20&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=CjwKCAiAz-7UBRBAEiwAVrz-9U-wXBnGSRxYHpHqDgYCPZ8wTPt8mVH3I5D7FvZwKFi_PCC6u2A2ARoCUBUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  12. Chucked up a reamer bit in my drill and you can really plow through some cases doing that. Swager may be a little easier, but not sure about $100 easier. Then again, ask me again after 1,000 rounds Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  13. I load .45 for a friend's 625 and oddly enough we noticed a significant increase in light strikes using small vs large primers. This was the case using both factory Federal, as well as me hand loading with Federal primers seating them deeply. I'd of never thought that would be a problem, but it's consistently going from 1 or 2% light strikes with LPP, to I'd guess around 15% with small. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  14. I actually already fitted the stock sear to the hammer, and while it is certainly much better it still has very marginal creep. I have a friend that installed both the hammer and sear and the pull on that gun is definitely better, so just wondering if anyone was seeing the same thing, or if it's just possible gun to gun variation.

    Whose CZ open gun?

That's exactly what I was thinking, thanks for verifying. And agreed on the beaver tail, would have to really work on that. The good news is the S120 is an aluminum frame, so would be an easy way to keep the weight down.
