Looks like the vario triggers are no longer being made. Any other suggestions?

Want to replace my stock STI trigger in my Trojan. It has a lot of side and up/down play and is generally sloppy. I've tried to adjust it as best I can but I would need to start adding material to the bow to make it fit the frame and take the slop out, to be honest I'm not sure how good I could get it and the time it would take doesn't make sense considering the cost of a replacement. So any recommendations for an after market replacement. I'm looking for a medium length trigger that has scope for fitting. Thanks in advance.

Sands easily. I've used both belt sander for more aggressive cuts and also a dremel with small sanding drums. Hand finish with water and 400/600 grit wet and dry. USE a mask.

What recoil spring weight you using with that load?

I shoot a 9mm Trojan in IPSC classic division. I'm using Dawson 10 round mags. It's a good set up, very reliable and great value for money.

I use Dawson mags with their IPSC magwell and main spring housing. This combo fits the box easy no mashing of the sights trying to get it in.

A couple of things to think about before pinning a grip safety. Firstly check the USPSA rules, I know in IPSC if you have a safety fitted it must be operational so no cutting off tabs it would have to be pinned. Secondly and more importantly it is a safety And is there to protect you and others.

Fit the grip safety and thumb safety together along with sear and hammer. Once these are all functioning properly you can then work on the hammer and sear engagement if that's what you want. The rest of the blacksmithing works and finishing can be done after that.

I think it's certainly worth considering a 10mm and re-barrelling for 40. With the lack of native 40 cal pistols around makes sense to widen the net. Years back I had an old Delta Elite in 10 that I re barrelled for 40. No problems at all.

I'm careful about solvents and cleaners near or around the FO so I don't think it's an issue in my case. I just installed a new FO and used the super glue trick. Shot a comp this weekend and it's still there and will put another 350 + through next weekends big comp so that will be over 500 rounds so will report back after that.

Can I ask what your minor load is? Some say 40 cal minor is nicer to shoot than 9mm minor.
