    P320 X5 Thread

Some insight from IDPA on Facebook. ------------------------- Sig P320 X-Five in IDPA While IDPA does not normally comment on the legality of specific gun models, preferring to let the listed rule criteria do its job, there have been a few extra questions on the X-Five. First, the P320 X-Five delivers with four 21 round magazines. While nice, these magazines when inserted make the gun too large to fit the IDPA box. You will have to purchase 10 or 17 round magazines to be legal for IDPA. The X-Five is advertised as having a bull barrel. There is no rule against a bull barrel, only heavy or coned barrels. The X-Five comes from the factory with an added magazine funnel. This funnel does fit the IDPA box and would be legal in ESP. However, this funnel would have to be removed to shoot the gun in SSP. It is a single Allen screw and can easily be accomplished by the end user. The last issue revolves around the advertised “removable grip weight.” IDPA has reviewed the gun and come to the conclusion that this weight is an integral part of the grip from the factory and legal. The weight is not easily removed and reinserted by the end user without the possibility of voiding the manufactures warranty. It is not an “add on weight” as defined under rule.8.1.8. So the gun is legal as it comes with the factory weight. That being said, removing the weight and replacing it with a heavier weight would be illegal.

Ben Stoeger is selling a Blade Tech for the 320 X5. Also any that are not closed at the bottom and fit the full size will work. I have one from Double Alpha Academy that works.

Just noticed that Ben Stoeger has the Blade Tech holster for the 320 X5.
  7. I would rather see a match entry fee discount like at my club for club members.
  8. My LGS gets them directly from Sig. They got 11--7 of which were spoken for (including mine).
  9. Be sure to give us a look at the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club in Palm Bay. IDPA, USPSA, Steel Challenge and more. [emoji3]
  10. Had a really great time in my second IDPA match. One stage I totally lost track or out of bounds markers. Oh well. Didn't pick up brass but did tape targets and have fun--and move on to next stage. [emoji3]
  11. Got my Blade Tech from Ben Stoeger.

    Shadow 2 holsters

Hmm. A few days late on reading this. I too tried taking the screws out. Oh well, back it goes. Guess I will give RHT a try.
  13. I was very happy with the service when ordering my Shadow 2. Ordered last Friday online. Got an email from Stuart that day. Sent info on LGS and the shipping info was sent to FedEx Sunday. Picked up pistol Wednesday.
  14. Yeah--I would like to do the Action Steel--but can't make the one in April. Signed up for my first IDPA for Sunday. Hopefully will give Action Steel a try in May. I've been doing Steel Challenge and will be shooting on April 1.
  15. I shoot at the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club in Palm Bay. Been shooting a Springfield XD-M 5.25.
