Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. So with the upcoming changes to production, what are you guys going to add/subtract to your Glocks? I am planning on at least and extended mag release but I am unsure of which one. I may eventually do a complete trigger kit but again I don’t know which one. I may break out the dremel and get a little undercut on the frame too.
  2. Ok. I finally got a chance to hit the range today. HST and Tula fired fine in double action and single action. The Tula did have some issues going into battery. All brass cased ammo (federal AE and HST, blazer, and Speer lawman) functioned perfectly. I'm not planning on using the Tula for anything, I was just curious what would work. I'm guessing the lighter recoil spring that I run had an issue with the sticky steel case. All it took was a light push on the back of the slide and it went right into battery. Of course it may just need a good cleaning. I put a set of the hogue aluminum grips on and also discovered that it was rubbing on the trigger bar. I filed down the contact area and I now have a sub 7# double action on the Lyman scale. I was averaging 6.10 #. I see no reason not to run the 12# mainspring for competition.
  3. I have some Federal HST +P 124gr that I can try later in the week too. I'll let you know.
  4. A few weeks ago, I installed a Wilson combat 12# hammer spring in my 92A1 and while I was waiting for the trigger bar to show up, I decided to run it and see if I got any light strikes. 350 rounds later, I have yet to get a light strike. The only other part that has been changed that would effect reliability is the elite 2 hammer and some light polishing on the hammer, trigger bar, and sear. I have tried it with Federal American Eagle, Speer Lawman, and Blazer Brass. Everything runs perfect in DA and SA. DA pull is 7 pounds 1 ounce SA pull is 4 pounds flat. I ordered a couple of boxes of Tula and Wolf to see how far this can go. If anything will fail it will be the steel case. I will report back later in the week with results. In no way am I recommending this mainspring for a defensive gun but I am amazed how much better the beretta trigger can be.
