That sounds good. When I talked to them on the phone, they said it would take between 2-4 weeks for a return. I was surprised to see it shipped today after only 1 week. Any idea on what they problem was? Or did they just send you a working gun? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I shipped my 34 back to Glock last week on Thursday and they received it on Friday. I did not receive any email or phone call saying that they received or that they started working on my gun. I just got a FedEx tracking number via email today at 5 and I still have not heard anything back from Glock Inc. I don't know what they did or did not do. Kind of frustrating. I guess we will see what happens on Friday when I get it back.

I never thought about that. I would find a local place to give it a try. I sent pictures of the barrel to Glock and they said it would be a good idea to send it into them. With my next major in about a month, I'll cross my fingers and send it to them. I hear they are good about warranty work so we will see what they say. I'll keep everyone updated when I know what they say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What rimfire do you shoot for Steel Challenge and why?
Got2beshooting replied to GrumpyOne's topic in Steel Challenge
Unfortunately, I cannot find a steel challenge anywhere in metro Detroit. But I did take my S&W Victory to USPSA practice and put up a bunch of steel. Just messing around and I thought it was really nice. It is all stock and I could not be happier with it. Maybe one day I'll mess around with it and get a new barrel. I have been running the DAA PDR PRO for my Glock. It seems to hold up well. I have had zero issues with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the same issue with my 34 MOS. I have a reduced recoil spring and still get this issue. seems to be a common issue. When I called Glock they told me that I would have to send the gun in and with majors coming up, I don't really can't afford to have the gun gone that long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The best thing to do if you are shooting production or carry optics IMO is to buy a spring kit, new connector, and then polish all the factory parts. Including the safety plunger. Basically anything that moves as a result of pulling the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have used a friends 19 with a zev trigger in it and IMO it was one of the better ones out their. But I don't think they are production or CO legal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't be to worried about the fitting part. I have a couple of good smiths in the area that could probably get it done in a short amount of time. I have never tried to fit a barrel myself. Don't really trust myself to fit one either. But I simply cannot wait 2 months for a new barrel and will just have to find something else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From my understanding you can stipple the grip and do a undercut on the trigger guard. But it is not legal for production so if you ever want to switch back, your gun will no longer be production legal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dillon Case feeder Questions.
Got2beshooting replied to Got2beshooting's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Sounds good. Thanks for the info. I thought my bench was pretty secure but I will have to re-evaluation that. Going to try to use the press tonight so I'll follow up on this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Dillon Case feeder Questions.
Got2beshooting replied to Got2beshooting's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I am not sure I understand what you are talking about. This is what is happening. (Picture from google) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Barsto website says they need a minimum of 6-8 weeks for production? Not sure if I want to wait that long... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When does Uspsa run the classification system.
Got2beshooting replied to Edge40's topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
I shot in a classifier match last weekend and the classification is not updated yet. After further investigation, the club has not yet paid USPSA. Even though they have not yet paid, you can click the link to give more details about your classification, and the percentages will show up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
How often do you live fire practice?
Got2beshooting replied to superluckycat's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
I try to go at least 2 times a week. And either a local or major match on the weekend. Before a major,I bump it up to 4 live fire days a week 2 weeks before the match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I am just wondering if anyone is having the same issues I have in regards to the case feeder. While loading 9mm I tend to get a case try to go down the feed tube sideways. This causes the funnel to fill up at the top until a get hit in the head with a case and then turn it off to clear the jam. I have been told to slide out the metal tab and it will prevent this from happening but I can't seem to get it to work right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am pretty happy with my Glock trigger. The only thing I did was change the springs with a zev spring kit with a connector and I polished all contact points. So for $35 and a little bit of elbow grease, it made quite a big difference. I do not have a trigger pull gauge but I would say it's at about 3.00#. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Reloading to Meet Power Factor with Confidence!
Got2beshooting replied to jwhittin's topic in General Reloading
I saw this when I went to optics nationals. I shoot 133 PF in Michigan (50 degrees 800ft above sea level) and when I went to the match I dropped 2 PF (80+ degrees 100ft above sea level). I personally thought my PF would have been higher in Florida. But Someone once told me that TG goes slower at warmer temps. Not sure how accurate that is though. Last years Michigan sectional I shot a the same PF the test before the match. So the change in the geographical area may have made a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 39 replies

Shock Bottle or EGW 9mm Case gauge?
Got2beshooting replied to rustybayonet's topic in General Reloading
The ahotckbottle hundo IMHO is the way to go. Not only does it check the rounds, it make it super easy to put in boxes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I like my model B but I recently switched from city water to well water and I can't get the brass to shine like I did with the city water. The brass almost looks burnt once I get it dry. I am using a food dehydrators to dry the brass. Before the dehydrator I was using the oven to dry the brass. Since then, I just wait until I have a lot of of brass (10 gallons or so) and rent a cement mixer and clean it all in a day. I actually like the cement mixer better because I can get a lot done in a short amount of time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any benifit to Jacketed bullet vs coated vs plated?
Got2beshooting replied to champ198's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
For 9 minor I prefer coated bullets. The #1 reason why is cost. They are significantly cheaper than plated and fmj. But I have found out that coated Bullets in an open gun do not work well. The high velocity, from what I have seen, cause the Bullets to tumble. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Next best small pistol primer? My Federal 100's dried up...
Got2beshooting replied to lksyotas's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
I have only used Winchester and I have never had an issue. That pretty much what everyone at my club uses (probably because that's the only thing they have by the 5k) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thinking of adding a1050
Got2beshooting replied to Gman57's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I bought the 1050 because I shoot 9mm and only 9mm. If I end up shooting something enough to start reloading it I'll either buy another 1050 but right now, I don't see that happening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
