  1. Just got a slot in Single Stack and I'm very excited about the match, classifiers and all. I'm also thinking of applying to work one of the matches before or after, but haven't got a lot of experience. I just got my RO cert in March, and haven't worked anything but club matches. I'd love to have the experience, but do you folks think there's a chance I'd be accepted, given that I'd certainly be given grunt duty (which I'm fine with)? Also, how much chance is there of getting a walk on slot for a second match once I'm there? I could shoot the Lim-10 match after SS with the same rig. Would I have to classify in Lim-10 this summer?

    TPC Course

I shot a mix of single stack and open. There was a good amount of sight alignment/vision work that would not have fully applied with optics, so it was definitely the way to go. Thanks for the tip.

    TPC Course

Just back from St. George. It was a really good class overall, and I now have a lot to work on. Highly recommended.

Thanks Adam. I'll plan to shoot some Single Stack and Limited, then maybe open for day 3.
  5. Ok so I've signed up for TPC's Competition Handgun Mastery course this weekend and, given the cost, I want to make sure I get the most out of it. Could anyone who's taken this course or similar fill me in on what they wish they had done to be better prepared? The plan is to use my open set up, but would I be better served to shoot iron sights for some reason? I've picked up some initial tips from their videos, and will be doing plenty of dry firing and stance stuff with them in mind. What else can I do to make sure I hit the ground running?
  6. Hello there forum, I've been lurking around here lately for info on various USPSA related topics and felt like I ought to just take the plunge. The forum has been very helpful so far, so thanks for that. I started shooting USPSA several years ago, and am currently running a Czechmate for open/limited, Sig Scorpion for Single Stack and I've got an old M&P 9 Pro Series for Production, though that'll need to be replaced or souped up a bit if I'm to start shooting production seriously again (stock trigger, bleh). I'm currently high C class for Open and SS, and B in production from when I first started out. Ask me for C class excuses, they're already drafted. Started reloading on an XL650 this year also. Located in Jackson Hole, having transplanted here from Northern Nevada a couple of years ago. Good to be here, AMJ
