Anyone with experience using Blc2 with 168gr hpbt in a .308. I'm getting inconsistent results with ball powder and am making a plan for the next choice of powder

Looking for experience working with Blc2. I have an M1a, currently I have it loaded with 168gr Hornady HPBT, 44.9grs of Blc2, Winchester primers, Lake city '16 brass trimmed to 2.010" with an OAL of 2.795. Sometimes I get excellent groups, half inch at 100yds, other times the groups aren't so good. Any suggestions?
