Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have a 9mm slide that needs to be lightened. Any recommendations of a smith that does good work reasonably?
  2. Trying to find out what would be the best holster for a CZ 75 CTS 40 S&W for Limited competition. Currently considering: Blade-Tech Pro-Series Speed Rig Holster. Have used the Double Alpha and SLB Custom holsters for my Open setup.
  3. Faced with trying to find a better grip on STi DVC Open and a DVC Three Gun weapons. Keep changing the grip and loosing the dot. I have found that I really need to address this issue but not sure where to start. Hand measures just under 8" long to the base of the palm, by 4" wide w/3.5" long trigger finger. I have read that SVI makes a grip 20% larger than standard. Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.
  4. Hey Mike, thanks for posting on my question but I don't believe I stated that I was needing them for limited 10;  I don't shoot limited 10.  It does make sense about the grooves on the Sti mags.  I had noted that the MBX mags have no spacer and run fine.

Sorry.  I got the threads confused.

  5. The Sti mags with spacers have feed problems and the MBX without spacers run fine, at this point. Magazines with spacers move the round closer to the front of the magazine but there is less contact with the feed lips. Is there a good reason to retain the spacer or replace them with full length (front to back) followers and springs? If so, MBX, Gram or Taran springs. Also considering going to a slide hold open follower like the MBX. Thanks
  6. Finally got the Sti DVC Open gun to run consistently. It took a 9mm Major load at a 167 pf to make it run consistently. The load is 6.6 gr of Win AutoComp behind a 124gr Montana Gold JHP. CCI 500 primers. Now I have to deal with muzzle jump. The recoil spring is an original factory spring with a green color code. Any good ways to deal with this ? Thanks
  7. Getting back into competition/reloading after a number of years. The weapon is an Sti DVC Open 9mm. My Dillon die set-up included a crimping die. Reloading for 9mm Major. Is a light crimp a good idea or not. I am reloading with Winchester AutoComp (starting load 6.4gr-working up from there to probably 7.1 depending on the chronograph results). The bullet is a 124gr Montana Gold JHP. Primers are CCI 500. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
