Looks for Target

Looks for Target (4/11)

  1. This is interesting. Where did you get an o ring that small, and do they stay on pretty good?
  2. Thanks RePete. I have some oversized bits I'm going to do some hand work on and try and make one that fits.
  3. I bought a 3-blade set with driver from Brownells that was supposedly for S&W revolvers. The bits fit the side plate screws like crap. This is what came with the set. 120-1 210-2 150-3 I understand the measurements, I'm not sure what the screws require. My revolvers are modern.
  4. So you don't have any problems running the same loads in the 9mm as you do the short coalts.
  5. I have a 929 and a 627. I was going to try them in the 627 with short colts first. I also have some 158grn. RNFP that I cast myself, powder coated and sized to .357 to try also.
  6. I'm going to try 160grn bullets in 38 short and 9mm just for something different. It looks like there popular, what the advantage in shooting them in competition?
  7. Thanks, I took this one out too. I just picked up a 4" 627-5 (sweet gun) that when in single action you could hardly pull the trigger. Turns out the pin was to long. Did I say this is a sweet gun yet? It may be in competition with my 929.
  8. Is that pin inside the spring of the trigger rebound slide necessary?
  9. I have managed to put some marring and a couple of dings on the side plate of one of my revolvers. Can that dull finish S&W applies be duplicated at home somehow? It drives me crazy looking at it.
  10. Ok thanks. Don't need one of those.
  11. This sounds interesting, tell me more.
  12. I was thinking more about the mount being hi on the gun and sighting in, would there be enough down adjustment. But, from the responses here it sounds like I should be ok.
  13. I just bought an Allchin mount for my 4" 686 and a Burris Fast Fire III. I haven't got a chance to sight it in just yet, but looking at it, it appears to sit high on the gun. Is this a draw back in any way or an asset? I can't help but think I would be better off if was sitting lower. Anyone have one of these mounts?
  14. I like Clays. I have about 2lbs left of the Australian mfg. I used it a lot for 12ga, and for a while in 45 ACP. I couldn't get the powder drops in the 45 consistent so I stopped using it there. It's gotta be tuff in 9mm.
