Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey, another guy from CG. Welcome to the forums!!
  2. I think it sounds like a horrible idea and would ultimately be the death of this forum. If you're really that interested you can take a look at my comment in the donation drive forums that's going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Nice, I really like the cuts in the slide. A couple of local guys picked up Atlas's at the end of last year and I have heard nothing but good things about the work they are doing. Definitely looking at getting one in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Made my donation via Paypal. I am fairly new to the forum, I have found a wealth of information, this donation was a no-brainer. I was reading through the thread and I saw the suggestion of making new members pay to access the forum. I personally think this would be horrible for the forum and deter a lot of people. When I go to a site and hit a pay wall I usually leave that site and never come back. I don't want to put money out there to get into a site just to find out all the content is garbage, I know that is not the case here, as someone new coming to the site how would they know. Yes, this is going to mean that the few will be paying to keep the site online for the many, I'm okay with that. Another way to look at it, how many forums are out there that you look at, what if you had to pay to access everyone of the forums, would you? I know I wouldn't I would go broke, I will donate to the ones that are the most useful to me and hope that others donate to other forums of there choice so they stay free and available to me on the occasions I go there. In the end I believe this balances it out. Just my 2 cents. @benos, have you looked into setting up a reoccurring donation? Whether it is monthly, quarterly, yearly or just one-time, heck give people the choice and let them decide how often they want to donate and how much. I'd be happy to help research what is needed to setup a system like this to keep the forum on the net and Ad-free. Please PM if there is anything I can do to help. Thank you to all the time and work you have put into the forum to keep it going.
  5. I run 1080 @ 60fps on my hero4. I would recommend running at least 60fps If you are using the headband, hat clip, basically anything with the camera mounted on your person. I would be be curious if there is a noticeable difference from 60fps to 90fps @SV650Squid have you compared them at all?
  6. I picked up a CED 7000 and so far I am happy with it. Haven't really messed around with the other timers out there though. I am using mine for doing drills/practicing. Also really like the size of the 7000, doesn't take up much space in the range bag.
  7. I have wide feet and have a hard time finding a shoe with a good fit. End of this year I found some Cabela DPX hikers on sale and they fit great. Bought them to wear out at HaH and they did the job, all day comfort and solid tread.
  8. I would strongly recommend getting a holster with a hood for 3 gun. Always worried about my pistol falling out when I was running and I have seen it happen to others. Best of luck on your search.
  9. I know this isn't what you asked for. I like the SureFire plugs and I throw on my electronic Muffs over them typically when I am up to shoot.
  10. I am running a JP-15 with a Vortex Spitfire ar mounted on it, a STI DVC limited in 9mm and a Stoeger M3K. I am patiently waiting for my left-hand Benelli M2 to arrive. I am looking forward to the 3 Gun Nation match that will be held here in MN come April. Just need to figure out how I am going to practice for that match, as most outdoor matches don't start until April or shortly after.
  11. I'm left handed so that throws everyone off already. I would rather spend my time going through my stage plan than trying to mess up someone else. Heck, I am more than happy to share my stage plan with anyone that asks and if they want to copy exactly what I am doing more power to them. Granted at my skill level copying my stage plan probably won't get you the win.
  12. I've been to the forum multiple times for advice about one thing or another. Don't know why I dragged my feet for so long to create an account. Started shooting 3-gun this spring and I've been hooked ever since. Just went out to Hard as Hell at the beginning of the month to finish out my first year and had a blast.
