Looks for Target

Looks for Target (4/11)

  1. I have mine slide-mounted on my Carry Optics gun and have never experienced any flickering or any issues. The dot is clear and clean. The only "blinking" I saw, was when it was telling me to replace the battery.
  2. I had mine milled for a Romeo Max/XL and the FTP A3 is a tiny bit too long in the front, and it needs about 1.5mm additional clearance.
  3. Here's the perfect solution for you: get a nearly-new Honcho at a discount, with zero wait.
  4. That sounds about right. see if you can get your hands on some Accurate #7. It feels softer and flatter.
  5. Well, considering that the Atlas has two barrel popple holes, whereas the Honcho has none, I had assumed the Honcho would be faster, needing less powder. I was so surprised it needed more.
  6. Despite having other toys to play with, the waiting was horrible for me. But once I had the Honcho in my hands, the bitterness immediately disappears. I’d start working on your load now. Speaking of which, you’ll be surprised at how much you need to make major PF. For reference, my 6.9gr of WAC made 172PF in my Atlas. The Honcho needed 7.4gr to make the same PF.
  7. Thanks! I’m very pleasantly surprised! When mine was at the same point you’re at now, it was another 4 weeks before it was shipped.
  8. PT just got done with a big batch and I got mine a couple of days ago. Cosmetically, I’m pretty stoked at how it came out. I ordered it in silver PVD, but in person it’s got a very warm tone, almost like a very, very light pale bronze, giving the gun a tonal look with the gold anodize.
  9. I'm optimistic that I'll be happy with mine, whenever it may be that it arrives. PT recently claimed on FB, that their wait times are just 16 weeks. However, for context, I'm at 9 months and still waiting. Probably best to have the same mind-set as when buying a suppressor (pre e-form)... i.e., Buy it and forget it. Shoot another division for this season. Just know going in, that their order forms state (in bold): We cannot guarantee any lead times on Honchos. While we do our best to deliver every gun as quickly as possible, we are still seeing delays and supply issues. and... All sales are final and no refunds will be provided.
  10. I’m in my 3rd trimester at 34 weeks. And it looks like we’re carrying to full term. Per my last update from PT, I’m looking at perhaps another 4 weeks. (but w/o any guarantees of course)
  11. Thanks. I’ll test and see what SRP (magnum) might do for me. fingers crossed since it’s not like I can plug the popple holes :)
  12. Did they give you a new ETA? Does your gun get priority for (re)coating or does it go to the back of the line with new orders?
  13. I use AA7 because I like the flat and soft feel it gives, and it's somewhat available. But it's pretty dirty for me, with most of the crud accumulating around the front frame rails. I'm curious - What primers do you use? I wonder if you're getting a bigger or hotter spark and therefore getting a more complete burn? For context (and I suspect might be part of the reason for the dirtiness) my Limcat has 4 giant popple holes starting 2" after the chamber.
  14. Right?! I don’t understand... Why have PT chosen to subject themselves and their customers to these delays for so long now. Who knows. It’s certainly not because their coaters do such an awesome job; PT said they send back a significant percentage of guns to be stripped and refinished from each batch. By all reports, the gun itself is pretty good. I just wish I did a better job of research and be better prepared for and aware of the long wait.
