Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. use the dawson extended firing pin, goes bang every time..
  2. nice load for the steelmaster 124gr xtreme rn 5.2gr power pistol oal 1.145 pf 130 shoots very flat and fun
  3. had the same issue last yr w my glock 17 open, im running the pyramid trigger and went back to factory striker spring. also went to federal match primers(very soft) goes bang every time... the trigger also has the heavy spring in it.
  4. I recently purchased a steelmaster to use in steel challenge and as a backup to my uspsa gun, unfortunately my major loads r to long for the steelmaster. on the upside its a great steel gun..
  5. been shooting xtreme 124gr rn for a while from a g17 and g34 in minor power pistol 5.4gr oal 1.145 chrono is pf 144. shoots great and very accurate w lone wolf barrel and carver comp. sjc mount w a c-more, nice for steel, ipsc and uspsa.. my 2 cents
  6. i shoot minor with a glock 34 open, 124gr xtreme rn(platted projectile) oal 1.145, 5.4gr of power pistol chrono is pf144. shoots fantastic for steel, ipsc or uspsa basically the same setup, sjc mount with c-more, and carver comp. DAA holster. fun rig to shoot. hope you son has fun , safe shooting!!!
  7. this is a late response, i run a g17/g34 open with sjc with a cmore sight..the holster is use is the DAA works great price is around 99.00 on shooters connection site or the DAA academy site
  8. I'm thinking that its the primers I'm Using after more reading. I'm prob gonna switch back to cci
  9. glock 17 open 124gr xtreme plated rn 5.4 gr power pistol pf is 144 through caldwell chrono oal is 1.145. runs nice for steel challenge.
  10. have never loaded 115's, before. I have always loaded 124 in the glock. personal preference i think. I switched from cci to federal primers because of light strikes with the glock. This is the first time i've loaded 9mm major. So i'm up for loading help..
  11. Hello everyone, i don't leave a whole lot of posts, I most read everyone elses stuff. I ran a glock 17 open gun last yr to see how i liked shooting uspsa, ipsc and steel challege. So this shooting eason i have upgraded to a new sti trubor 9mm with I really like shooting. So i have been working up loads with Hs6 and 124gr fmj and also 126 hprn xtreme. my loads have all been chronographed. The gun is brand new so tolerances r still tight. my results are as follows 1/10/17 chrono was a caldwell HS6 7.8gr. 3 -10 rnd strings Average vel 1369 pf is 170 > still flat primers this is with range brass, federal match primers oal is 1.160 i also ran 30 rnds w hs6 7.6 gr pf was 168 I know the pf is low per open gun std but i was getting primer flatting. cases look fine, gun cycles great. Back in Dec i chrono loads up to 8.2 grains hs6 avg vel was 1436 pf was 178 gain flat primers cases fine, a little snappy thou. So do i go a harder primer like cci I've ran about 800 rnds through the gun so far. Any thoughts would be well appreciated tks ahead of time for comments.
  12. looking for a gunsmith around San Antonio to place a slide racker on a new sti trubor 9mm. Any help would be great tks..
