Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I have owned both the old version and the newer stroked one. There is a difference for sure in recoil. I favour the old unstroked versions. But thats my preference. Its like comparing felt recoil and what you like to see visually between shooting 124gr vs. 147gr bullets. You might favour one over the other. If I were Tanfoglio factory I would go back to the old configuration or at least make is possible to choose how you want it stroked.
  2. Shadow2 grips fit, but depending on choice of brand you will get a small gap between frame and grip. Armanov fits witouth gap. If using kydex holster you need a special KMR mold. For race holsters I dont know.
  3. Thank you! In contrast what the majority of people think, longer and bigger isnt always better. When it comes to guns there are pros and cons about weight in general and heavier is not better in my opinion. Especially if the weight is up front static or it cycles forward during recoil. A 5” gun will be heavier. I dont like it. The balance of a 4.5” gun especiallt for 9mm is the sweet spot and thats why I like the SP01 Shadow, the Stock2 and now the Umbra. I would also have gone with a Redback instead of the Drake of the Phoenix guns. I havent tested max oal. I only run my regular loaded ammo I’ve been using for many years in all my guns. 121gr frontier fp extreme bullet at 27.8mm. The gun have been reliable so far, but I only put 4500 rounds through it so cant testify to it being used more than that, but I see no reason why it wouldnt be reliable. Its a cool gun with great build quality as far as I can tell. I wouldnt hesitate if you got your eyes on one.
  4. I have 3000 rounds through this gun, so barely broken in. The gun is great so far.
  5. I am pretty sure its a M4 screw, but its a special super shallow head to make it fit the plate flush. I had to get new screws from Tanfoglio when mine got rounded. Then realized the solution was to go to a different aftermarket plate that worked with ”normal” M4 torx screws.
  6. They've come up with a new optic ready system now and it comes with integrated sight but also plate takes more sights now, sro being one of them. These are photos from my local dealer here in Sweden.
  7. It's not mine, but done by a machine shop here in Sweden. Have no pictures of what you want.
  8. There is also the option of working the front of the optic instead of the gun.
  9. Hi, haven't seen any Evo pros for sale lately. What do a 2y old evo pro go for these days? With dies and so. Skickat från min IN2023 via Tapatalk
  10. A little tip regarding extractor springs. Instead of buying a xtra power one, you can also cut a few coils off a mag button spring an put it inside the stock extractor one. Double spring so to speak. Works great for adding extra power.
  11. Hello, in what angle should the slide be mille on a Tanfo for red dot? 89’ or even closer to 90’? What is the downside of going parallell with the top of slide?
  12. I’d say 99.5% [emoji846] Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
  13. Carl, is the fp pin in use after this cut? If so, can you post a photo of it to see how much they needed to cut off it? Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
  14. Try Roughneck or Full checkered instead of bogies if you havent already. They are comfortable but still grippy.
