  1. Just thought I would give an update on this. RCBS sent me out a new 12v cord for free (very quick delivery) in hopes that would be the problem. Turns out it is not. The entire unit doesn't work and is out of warranty. Kind of SOL now. I'll be taking a peak at some others as I need to continue load development for an elk hunt in 6 weeks.
  2. It's going to be a marginal difference but between my 17 and 34 I went with the 34. The longer sight radius obviously isnt helpful here but I felt the gun tracked flatter and for what its worth, the velocity will be higher. Allowing you to run less powder to achieve the same PF.
  3. I think there are a lot of variables with this and many people just need to be honest with what their competition schedule looks like. For most people having extra parts instead of an extra gun will suffice. I know for me, playing in the production and CO game spare parts were all that was needed. The likely hood of me blowing a gun up were extremely low. So worst case I need some springs, maybe a striker, loctite, something along those lines. I had an extra gun, I only brought it with me to a couple majors. I really knew in the back of my mind, chances are I would just swap parts on my primary if I ran into issues. For others shooting in open/SS/limted where swapping out parts on custom guns is easier said than done, that changes things. If disposable income isnt a concern, buy another gun. But truthfully, for most of us that cash would be better spent on some spare parts and ammo.
  4. Good to know, thank you. It's too bad, the holsters they made years ago were very well built. I ended up ordering from TREX Arms. Ive used one of their IWB holsters for a few years, seems solid. The IWB was priced right, and ships quick so I'll give it a shot.
  5. It doesn't, nothing happens when I hit the button. Ive tried all the dumb stuff, different power cord, different outlet etc. No dice.
  6. Awesome. It's also probably worth mentioning that they still fit under muffs. I was getting some reps in with my AR yesterday. The bay I used is a little tighter so I doubled up on ear pro. I turned off the axils and turned on the muffs, worked great. *also if you shoot indoors, I shot an indoor match with a bunch open guys shooting 9 major loads. I thought I was going to go deaf.
  7. Ive ran the 147s almost exclusively, consistent 132-133 pf at majors. It's probably slightly contingent on the slide weight, recoil spring and how the pistol balances. I did try some 135 TCs for a hot minute, didn't see much difference.
  8. What are the bad things you're hearing about RHT? I have one for my gen 4 G34, it's not light bearing and I bought it around 4 years ago, so its been a bit. I too am in the market for a light bearing holster, I was thinking I was just going to order another RHT. For what it's worth, I like the 2 layer Kydex of the RHT, the rigidity is nice.
  9. I used the original Axil electronic buds for a while. I ended up breaking them (my fault). I just ordered in the Axil Ghost Strike 2.0s. They work great, the bluetooth is a nice add on. I also like how they can bend and have over ear support. My last axils never fell out of my ears but that was a concern, especially when running during 3 gun.
  10. Hello all, So I have a chargemaster lite that has seen use for 1 rifle over the last 3 years. Im doing some load development with new pills. Last week I loaded up 20 ish, fast forward to last night. I plug the unit in, hit the on button, and nothing. The machine is entirely unresponsive to any button punching. Being that I am out of warranty through RCBS Im guessing that I am SOL for that, but will still try calling them. Anyone else have this problem? What electronic dispensing units are you all using?
  11. Im not sure Id even worry about it. Has the pistol ever had a failure to feed or go into battery? Ive ran the same two 11lb/13lb ISMI recoil springs in my G34 for ~15k to ~20k rounds and never experienced problems. Especially with a full mag inserted, that's a lot to ask. The point of a reduced power recoil spring is to not have the slide slam home as hard as factory.
  12. The Blue Bullet 150s with 3.1gr - 3.2gr of Titegroup loaded to around 1.13" have always done well for me. I run a G34 so my velocity will be a touch higher than yours (not much). I haven't touched my powder drop in 4 years and have consistently made ~132 PF at every major Ive been to.
  13. Sights for sure. I really like the TTI connectors, they are cheap and kinda clean up the trigger pull (its still a glock trigger, but just slightly less bad lol). HYVE extended mag releases are among the most underrated add ons in my opinion. I bought one on a whim for USPSA, now I have one for every Glock I own. Also OCC triggers has an enhanced trigger that cleans up the ergos of that saftey tab while maintaining a factory trigger shoe. I have a few of them. Theres options that allow you to adjust over travel and pre travel with an Allen wrench too.
  14. Whats your DA and SA pull weights look like going that low? My tanfo was ~6.5# DA and just over 2# SA. . Not sure I really need anything lower than that.
