    Front sight loss

He isn't snagging it on anything, not even drawing from a holster. Case to shooting line and it flies off while he is shooting. It does have the slide cuts and that was my first thought, maybe too much momentum from the lighter slide but that seems like something the manufacturer should design for. I'll tell him to try loctite and just snug. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Front sight loss

So my Dad has a zev glock 34. He has gone through 3 front sights as of today, the screws keep shearing off. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? They haven't been over torqued, so that's not the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I took mine out to shoot at our local ISSA match and I have to tell you I was impressed. It ran like a top, never even cleaned or lubed it. I will though haha Other than the fact I didn't have any extra mags yet, I didn't have any problems with it at all once I got it sighted in. I have to say the grip is a little small in my hand, but it was cold and a gloved hand made it just right. Hopefully hogue or someone like that will make an aftermarket grip for it. I was impressed. Certainly no regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That's very informative, thanks for your input. Do you have any thoughts on the Smith and Wesson gun this thread is about? I have seen the current best guns, but do you really believe there can never be another competitor? I just think this gun has potential. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Does anyone know much about these? I know they're still new, but the reviews I've seen look promising from SHOT show. I've been looking at getting a rim fire pistol to shoot steel challenge with, and I am admittedly and S&W fanboy so this thing excites me. Any knowledge or input is appreciated. 6. This^ I ran one of these at the Northwest Regional ISSF match this year and had absolutely no problems at all. If you really want a 1911-style 22 pistol I would go with this one.
  7. For factory yes, but unless I'm mistaken that's the only division that regulates capacity after the beep. Practical only allows 9 in the gun to start but when the buzzer goes off you can stuff as many as you want in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Th vortex spitfire or Burris AR1X are both wonderful. A lot of people hate on the Burris reticle but I've never had any problems with it shooting out to about 450 yards. Can't go wrong with the spitfire for a simple dot and circle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My name means rebel in Malagasy. No that's not a made up language, it's the native tongue of Madagascar where I lived for two years as a missionary. Nobody knows the word so it's always available, and I chose rebel because I have a thing for the rebel alliance aspect of Star Wars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have the spitfire and the Burris ar1x. I prefer the Burris for 3 gun, simply due to the long-range capability but other than that they are pretty similar in my eyes. I put the vortex on my steel challenge 15/22 and that is a dream come true. Both optics are bright and hold zero well. I guess to be simple the only real difference I noticed was the Burris takes a AA battery which is great, and the reticle is a lot friendlier for distance targets on the Burris. Ran like a champ this last Saturday at our monthly match, Pat Kelley had graciously lent a Co2 powered pop-up target to the match, set up at 250 yards, and it wasn't obscured by the center dot. Hope that helps.
  11. And these are the beretta/Benelli Mobil tubes correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. openclassterror, is there any solution available for those of us shooting the stoegers as a lefty? That oversized button looks awesome for the fortunate right handed crowd though.
  13. I have one that I bought when they first came out, and I thought the same thing, wanted it to ride higher on my chest. After playing with it quite a bit I realized that I do like it the way it is, riding just a little above my belt line. I haven't even turned it around to go prone more than once, all the times up and down and only one shell has ever fallen out. I have nothing but love for my DeTurk vest. I have the quad-load clips on it and they work great for me. I also know that the new ones come with grippy stuff to put on the back and hold them up. Hope that helps.
