Well, after much pondering I decided to go with the XL650.
My primary reason was that I wanted the auto-indexing and ability to have the powder check. Those seem like good safety, although I do trust myself to pay attention while loading, it just can't hurt to have more precaution that the 650 provides.
I honestly don't really need the extra volume and/or speed, so my decision wasn't based on that in any way. Just seems like a small price to pay for the convenience of what the 650 offers. I think it's fair to say we all get to make that decision for ourselves.
I only ordered one caliber, 308 to start, with the case feeder, which I didn't really need...but again, it's a convenience that is nice to have.
I just bought 400 pieces of once fired Lake City National Match brass (once fired) which I will start with.
Next month I'll add .223/5.56 conversion, dies, priming quick change, and possibly powder check. I'll also be adding 45ACP, but haven't finished my pistol yet. Those will be the primary calibers I'll be reloading.
